Iraq lost a diamond that could never been replaced 💔 it's so sad to see Iraqi Assyrians, Armenians, Yazidis and many other Iraqi ethnicities and religions gone.. Yes bro ! We are the real decsandants of Iraq, thank you for having the courage to admit it, peace and love brother
@John-je1if9 жыл бұрын
ChaldeanNebuchadnezzar We are not the real descendants of "Iraq", that makes no sense at all. We are the Assyrians, the heirs of mesopotamia. I've seen you comment on other videos talking about the chaldean name and saying the assyrians are nestorian chaldeans etc. I want to tell you that you're Assyrian brother, be proud of it. The term "Chaldean" refers to the assyrians who are just adherents of the Chaldean Catholic Church, originally called The Church of Assyria and Mosul, which was that part of the Church of the East which entered communion with the Catholic Church between the 16th and 18th centuries. You are ASSYRIAN brother. I'm "Chaldean" too, but I know that his is just a religious sect. We need to return to the days where we were part of 1 church and united under one name: ASHURAYA. And when we didn't have sloppy dialects between villages and mixed arabic/turkish/kurdish words into our language.

Aa Aa sorry for the extremely late reply! Syrian Christian traders came to India’s trading port known as Muzirus for centuries (modern day state of Kerala). Records as early as the 3rd century show a Syrian presence in Kerala connected to the Church of the East. The vast majority of these people came as merchants, there is one group even known as the Knanaya who came as in organized group in the 4th or 9th century, today the Knanaya still show 13% Middle Eastern ancestry. In general the practitioners of the Syrian Rites of Kerala are known as St. Thomas Christians whom according to folk history evangelized Kerala in the year 52.

Youhana Gilana Who said you have to choose? We’re both! Eastern Christianity and Modern Assyrians are one and the same. But if you must know: we were Assyrians long before Christianity, and shall remain Assyrians LONG after. Don’t fall for the Aramean or Chaldean rites fighting for scraps. Our ancestors were smart enough to realize the futility of tagging faith to a race, and united under the one dominant power in Mesopotamia: Assyria. The only reason we still don’t have a country is because of all the infighting between Christian rites.

My bloodline lived in North Iraq. They later moved to Turkey where they established the city ''Zaz''. In the genocide of 1915 a part of my bloodline became obligated muslim. The family members who stayed christians in Turkey got the surname ''Kurd''. The other part of my family moved to Syria (Zalin) where they got the surname Safar. I am orthodox myself and its weird to think of the fact that there are people with my blood that are muslim.

Love this video! Khayet Ashurbanipal for promoting your Assyrian heritage in a beautiful manner. Let us not argue with people of no understanding. If we look at the world in a historical context, northern Mesopatamia is undeniably the home of the Assyrians, regardless of what it is called today. For people with common sense, this is not a difficult concept to grasp. After all, there was once a time when not a single white man inhabitted the country known today as the United States.

This is a really great video! Thank you so much for the images. I especially like the pictures of the women, which proves the beautiful traditional clothes of women use many similar patterns and fabrics of men's clothes (unlike the images of popular clothes I see a lot on the internet today). In my language(romanian/dacian) Ashur can be interpreted as "a sorit" - (sunrise) - Soare in dacian. Another example is "Rasarit" which is the proper word for sunrise. Can be translated with "Ra se arata" which means "Ra(the egyptian god for sun) is showing". Sun rays are called "Raza" something derived from Ra + a link word Za(literal link with the sun). The wise man that was turned into a god by dacians was called Zamolxis. I can guess the locals used other suffix Zamuls(muls) which is translated with "severed link". It suits very well to Zamolxis because most scholars agree he went into Egypt for initiation in mystical arts.

The continuity of Ashur depends on two things; 1.The realization of our past, our greatness, our contribution to the world, and 2, The realization that our past is present in our genetics. One day luck may take our side. If we are paying the price of blood, then I feel we've suffered more than enough. If we are paying the price THROUGH blood, then God was wrong in his design. And he can't be, because what I know isn't close to the truth if he exists. There is something deeper than reasoning here. Ashuraye! Qoomoon!
