The last three minutes of this song is as close to proof that a heaven exists as I have ever seen. The guitarist is only 16 in this video, which is mind-blowing to me. She is in the guitar pantheon of Steve Vai, Prince, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jimi Hendrix, yet she is only 16. This video should have 1 million views by now. Just a truly amazing trio.
One of the greatest guitar solo's I've ever heard. I'm an old man and I've heard a lot of great solo's. Jimi's Voodoo Child, Eddie's Eruption live, etc etc.

Incredibly good ! These Japanese musicians start playing together at a very young age. That's why at 16 or 17 years old they already sound like best-coordinated and experienced bands. The music of Asterism sounds very grown-up. These people are the future of rock/metal. I hope also soon in the West ...

I discovered Asterism a few months ago, and I love everything they do, but I keep coming back to this performance. It's not even about how they are so good, so young. Give me that music and tell me nothing about the people making it, and I would still say that this is my favourite instrumental rock band.
It is truly amazing that this "Dawn" was composed, arranged it as one song, and was able to perform it by a junior high school students of Japan who were only 14 or 15 years old. Everyone notices that they have advanced playing skills at a young age, but what really should be appreciated the most is that they have acquired compositional skills, including the ability to arrange music, at this age. Moreover, the range of emotional expression and the wide descriptive power of the composition give the impression of a genius inspiration. It's amazing that not only HAL-CA, but all three of them have the ability to compose in three different ways, and they can arranging and playing songs at the age of only teenagers. The variety of songs they compose is wide-ranging, and to us it is as diverse as if we were looking at the 70-year history of Western music. It covers all elements of the UK, US, European and Japan music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and is integrated and played with the sensibilities of today's teenagers. How could they have done this in such a short period of time? Perhaps it all started when the three of them grew up in an environment where their parents liked Western music and listened to songs at home as a hobby, and their parents gave children musical instruments to try out. The period when they learned the instrument was probably linked to the brain growth process in the growth period from child to adult. I guess the adults around them were stunned, because they absorbed and grew at an incredible rate. However, it will be unclear whether their songwriting ability came out with because they were growing children, or whether they originally had genius songwriting ability, unless we look at them in the future. Unfortunately, the current Japan music industry does not have an environment that genius talents like them into stars. The general public doesn't like to listen to this kind of music. If we leave them in Japan like this environment, their talent will only be crushed in minor scenes without ever seeing the light of day in the major scenes. I think "Amuse" is out of hand. They should leave early. They should move quickly to their native field, the Western music market, to meet producers and capitalists who find and interest their talent and abilities. The current Japan music industry will not be able to take advantage of their abilities

If they came to the American music scene, they'd be forced to produce mindless drivel to get any backing.
@novrinkov0053 Жыл бұрын
You overestimate the American music industry.At least in Japan, they was able to contract with a major management office.Amuse is big major company in japan. If they were america, they wouldn't even have a contract.Because they don't rap and dance like kpop Japan has enough market, and unlike other countries, there are many core rock fans.at least japan not ruled by edm and hiphop
@novrinkov0053 Жыл бұрын
Why talented metal kids bands never debut in america? if that's true? i think there are many metal kids in america too,but never debut, no popularity,WHY? because american music ruled by hiphop or sexy dance At least in Japan, they have a professional contract and they can do live performances they can make album. If they were in America, could you have done the same?i don't think so. like 'they should speak english' 'their english accent is engrish' 'asian can rock?' They are steadily improving their skills in japan
@brianchar-bow3273 Жыл бұрын
@@novrinkov0053 Thanks for your response. I think it's the same reason why native metal kids can't debut in the US and why Japanese and foreign bands can't get an official contract in the US even if they have talent. It seems like it is because distribution is cut off by one decision of the people who have influence over the release of the industry doing the music business in the US. As an example, Japanese bands have a long negative history of not being able to sign with major labels for about 60 years in all genres, not just rock, and many musicians at all times, no matter how talented or musically gifted, have been virtually rejected by the US market. I guess it all depends on their judgment. I don't think the situation has changed. The reason why we are now able to talk with people all over the world about bands like ASTERISM is because we now have a means of information tool that is open to the world called "the Internet," where music can be distributed directly on an individual level without the judgment of the music industry in the U.S and other countries. This is because a new route has been created and information has been able to jump over their barriers and spread around the world.

@@brianchar-bow3273 Japanese musicians have never targeted the American market, with the exception of some.Even if there is an overseas orientation, the management office will not spend a lot of money to advertise The Japanese management office has never even conducted serious promotional activities overseas.This is because Japan has the second largest market in the world.In other words, if you succeed domestically, you can make a lot of money.this is both good and bad Korea are small domestically markets, so they have to sell overseas to earn big money.That is the reason why they seriously promoted overseas.Most Japanese musicians do not have their sights set on overseas markets from the beginning.I can't say if it's right or wrong because each person has a different purpose in making music.Well at least now they can connect to the internet like you said People can access them even if they don't have a foreign orientation

From France: I was born with rock (and yes, in the 50s!...). It was played in cellars or garages and the sound was rotten, but there was the joy of living rock & roll, atmosphere and fun... ASTERISM really reminds me of those years (the sixties, then the seventies and even the heighties...) with an incredible talent, worthy of the greatest... and it's been a long time since I've heard a band so impactful. The rock revival certainly comes from Japan (Lovebites, Band-Maid, Aldious, Ningen Isu, Babymetal, Sokoninaru, Trident, Wagakki Band, Stereopony, Nemophila, Bredear and so many others...). Long live ASTERISM... And thank you again for your videos about this band!

You guys are getting better (how is that even possible?) with every video I watch. I saw some great groups in my lifetime and the closest I can come to matching what I just watched was Cream (1966-68) with the great Jack Bruce(RIP)/bass and Eric Clapton/guitar and yet I dare say you 2 may have been better than they were based on this presentation. Hal -Ca, watching you smoke that guitar brought back memories of the great Jimi Hendrix who I saw LIVE several times, I am shocked at your talent already and the fact you 3 keep pushing one another to be even better. I can't imagine where you 3 will be in 5 years, but I only hope I am around to see and experience it!!!

Very cool, awesome performance. They remind me of a band I followed from Richmond, Va. in the 80's and 90's called The Alter Natives. A trio just like Asterism (except all guys) and all instrumentals. A bit more punk. Spent a lot of pit time at their shows, usually opening for Gwar.
