Amanda, you are not alone when it comes to the mental stuff. It happens to me so much, when I’m in a group ride and feel like I should be doing better, I can get pretty down on myself. You are a champ, and I think it’s so awesome you are open about the challenges you face on your channel, because I can totally relate! ❤❤❤

Food = I will be there. ( honestly, I'm surprised that Ride to Food's channel name wasn't taken before she started, because I'm all about food when I'm going on rides). I loved watching this! You guys were having so much fun and it looks like such a positive experience. I like Jocelin's description towards the end after taking y'all out to her friend's property and seeing you following along behind with the confidence and skills you'd worked on. I was just imagining a very proud mother duck with her little ducklings trailing along behind on their first foray into open water. My wife and I have been considering getting into some more off-road type adventures, and taking a class with her seems like it'd be a great way to find out if that's something we really want to invest time and money into before we buy a pair of dirt bikes or trade our current sport tourers (though the CB500X could just be modified) for more adventure-oriented bikes. Thanks for another fantastic, well-told adventure. It's definitely inspiring me to get out and do the thing.

So when this video started, I was watching it on my TV in my office and my wife comes in to ask me a question. With this on, she instantly got engulfed in your experience of this challenge and ended up watching the rest of the video with me. Thank you for the show and she wanted to let you know how she enjoyed your video. Until next time, have fun and be safe.

This video was amazing. I was seriously almost in tears when Jocelin was saying she believes in you after you had your wobble with anxiety - I relate to that so much. Seeing you recollect yourself and snap out of that headspace to carry on is so inspirational. The fact you wanted to try the blindfold challenge again shows haow brave you are too. And doing this on a DCT seems like it would be way more difficult. Looks like it was an amazing experience for you

Amanda!!!! I’m SO IMPRESSED!!! You were so amazing. I know you were scared with that blindfolded exercise but you did it! Thanks for sharing it. All of it… being transparent about the panic attack with the teeter totter (I totally would have freaked out too!). Love Jocelin such an awesome encouraging coach! “Food = I will be there”

I respect you a lot for doing this. It takes a lot of courage do be vulnerable with skills and learn in front of an audience. On top of that, you're with somebody who has done a good amount of these exercises before, even though I can tell Doodle is also very supportive and is just generally a great person. Whenever y'all make videos like this it always inspires me to go out and practice too.

Thank you SO much for admitting that things can still be hard for you as an experienced rider (in reference to the teeter totter). I'm a new rider (about 1 year) and I'm having so much fun but I feel like I should be able to do things that I really know I'm not ready for. I've ridden in Moab, Utah around and in Canyonlands NP and the some of the off road trails north of Arches NP. The sand is extremely difficult for me, as well as the trails with an extreme drop off to the side. Your comment about your brain shutting down is exactly what I feel sometimes. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me feel just a little bit better about the "brain shut down!!!".

Food = I will be there! This looked like a blast. One of my bucket list things to do is the Trans American Trail. After 3 years of absence from serious riding due to the pandemic, I feel so out of touch - I'd love to get back on my adv bike and feel half as confident as y'all seemed to be. Gotta take that course for myself. Thank you for getting out there and showing us it's not as difficult as it seems.

I especially liked Jocelin’s reference to Keith Code. I just wrapped up eight track school days with CSS, covering over 900 miles on two tracks. Keith’s positive attitude and dedication to teaching all sorts of riders (for 43 years!) is reminiscent of Jocelin Snow’s obvious love for teaching off road skills to her students. I suggested the blindfold exercise as an on-track drill, but, oddly, it didn’t happen. 😊

I have to admit I am following your videos. All the 3 channels. What a party to be in Jocelyn's hands.🎉 Really enjoyed this episode. You had so much fun after all the blind spots and the rough stuff. And what is more important you girls gained more confidence. Fear is no issue anymore. Whoa I have to plan a visit to Cali to meet her in person and put myself to this type of training. How can I do that being located in Europe, especially Bulgaria? Ride safe and have no fear, cause you are through now.
