I had devastating attcks. A simplistic yet effective cure. 1) An asthmatic tends to breathe through the mouth and does not press his lips together. 2) Normal lip pressure relaxes chest airways and overcomes asthma. 3) Finger pressure on a lip shows this. This opens up lung airways by acupressure. This makes sense. Lip pressure is so important for love and the martial arts as well as asthma. That is the way I cured my asthma. Sleeping with your mouth closed is important.

This is a great simulation. HOWEVER, first and foremost the coach should be trained in how to offer basic assistance to the individual (keep them calm, have them sit down, try to breathe slowly etc). Otherwise the person could be dead by the time EMS arrives :-( Otherwise, it was a great display

In an MVA , making a quick glance at vehicle damage helps us determine the mechanism of injury and what kind of injuries we can expect and act accordingly . It's important to maintain a high index of suspicion here for possible c-spine and internal injuries .

The reason they do that is because we have to verbalize everything as we do it and check off certain boxes on a sheet that we're graded on. (Edit: while we're in school/ training) This wouldn't happen in the field

Im a paramedic. And this is too bad. The position of the girl isn’t letting her breath correctly. You need to act quickly because a severe asthma episode can cause Hipoxia and can make her pass out. It took you like 5 minutes to gave her the medicine. 5 minutes without correct circulation of oxygen to the brain.5 minutes its too much. Her blood pressure must be high duento the stress, and she needs more oxygen she isn’t receiving.Time is life. With the other is ok but time again. With the trauma is check check check to the hospital next. If she is taking her neck why are you letting her moved her arms. Legs together and arms straight to the body. The more I see the more I wanna be there

The context was funny for sure! But for the motor vehicle incident - especially one with a high suspicion of a neck injury; the patient would most likely need a full smr at the very least partial smr - as well not suppose to let go of a trap grip to take vitals; need to call for a transition grip to hand off to fire and then start taking vitals. But its very informative and at the very least helps candidates see that despite being trained we all make mistakes and its just important not to make detrimental mistakes and never make the same mistake twice. :)
