Howard, have you ever looked at ceramic tumbler polishers for cleaning up smaller parts like bolts? These seem to be quite cheap these days and from what I've seen on here they give great results with zero elbow grease, maybe not finished to your standard but they do a pretty good job and would get things like bolts to where you just need to add the finishing touches, and could possibly save you quite a few man hours.

First i just wanna say thanks for this build series Howard been a massive fan of your since the early ninties, Can i Just ask the reasoning behind the black fuel filler ? Just curious why you havent relocated the fuel filler somewhere, or blend it with the door in the body colour, for my tastes that black fuel filler is just a eye sore on a spectacular car. Again im just asking not criticing at all your just trying to learn from a master

@@AstillDesign And that is why the cleveland engine in the XA through to XD suffered head gasket issues. Believe me I have spent many hundreds of hours with these cars with the cleveland engine and then I compared the XY with the top bottom tank radiator and the head gasket problem was non existent. Stock clevelands have a bucket type thermostat which are not available today so we are left with the non standard thermostat which does not block the internal bypass when it opens. As a result the coolant flow is corrupted back into the internal bypass instead of flowing through to the radiator. Also the rear water passages need access to the radiator as the coolant passages are fairly restrictive which is why they are a hard engine to bleed. I recommend a nano glycol with absolutely no water any where in the cooling system that way you are not as susceptible to steam traps . The stock water pumps are also atrocious but that is another lesson altogether.
