I am in Curacao now and I love it, will be here until September. I was living in Costa Rica, it does not hold a candle to Curacao. I feel safer in Curacao, the people here are genuine. I have been here three weeks and not one negative experience. If I decided to move to any country permanently it would be Curacao.

You mentioned expenses, overall what makes it more expensive than an average American big city
@louisemobley Жыл бұрын
Great question! 🗣️GROCERIES 😂 😂 no different than an average American big city. That’s why I found myself eating out often. It felt less expensive. Keep in mind this isn’t America so things like fruit & bread still spoil quickly (I’m sure it has to do with preservatives) which means the shelf life is less. Which means you’re at the store wayyyy more often. It’s a bill. My next upload will be a grocery store haul to give you some insight as to what I’m talking about.

Curacao is Hella expensive. It's too small for me to live there full time.

Have you considered Panama or Columbia? Even Mexico has some great Ex Pat communities along the coast and of course it is closer if you need to jet back to the US. It would be cool if you could buy a property somewhere cheap to lease as an Airbnb yourself as a secondary income. The possibilities are really limitless.

Yesss I have. My initial choice wasn’t Curaçao however I had someone here that I knew here so it felt like a good deal for my first experience butttt that was short lived and I’ve since had to “figure things out” on my own. I’m grateful things happened this way however because now my research game is on point and I actually know what I’m looking into and for this go around. We’re visiting Colombia soon and I’m excited. Yes the possibilities are truly limitless I to believe this.
