A great video but I'm confused by the lack of reach adjustment on the wheel. The Aston Martin website and numerous others state that it has both rake and reach adjustment. Thoughts?

You can't just clue leather on the dashboard of an IQ and call it an Aston Martin. This car is a joke, even if you don't consider it's horrible performance compared to other Astons it isn't even luxurious. No Navigation system, No drive assistances and also not even electric seats?!? Most parts are cheap plastic and they couldn't even change those low tech headlights. And since it's no performance car, why is there a manual version? If you drive around in this car, 99% will think you just but a Aston Martin emblem on a Toyota and the rest will laugh at you, because you bought the worst car for a premium price. The Audi S1 is a much much better alternative!!!
@runejohansen90758 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter it feels very different to the IQ (i have Both) yes they have navigation. And with only 300 cars built and prices rising this is a keeper :)

+Peter Lustig I totally disagree that a navigation system or drive assistance are indicators of luxury. An Apple Watch has much more features than a Patek Philippe and there's no question about which one is in the luxury side! People often confuse technology and comfort with luxury. Anyway baptize a Toyota with a luxury brand was a stupid joke and of course could only end in a fiasco! A real plushtrap for women!

The Cygnet rebadge was created, in part, to meet US CAFE standards. The added sound-dampening works nicely, too. I have a 2013 IQ which has a bad case of grill envy.

This is a compliance vehicle, and they could've done something interesting with it, like making it faster and lighter, but they didn't bother. This isn't even desirable for rich people, they'd rather buy an optioned out Fiat 500 or Mini. This thing still _looks_ like a cheap car, and rich people hate that.

@rivervalegroup6 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony! Thanks for watching our Aston Martin Cygnet video. We think in the case of this particular car you pay for the name more than anything. There is a Cygnet that has a top speed of 170 and that's the V8 variant. All the other models seem to have a top speed from 106 which is good going considering the size of this car. We hope this helps but let us know if you want any more information!

The best city car? Could be the Audi S1, or the Abarth 500, maybe an optioned out Mini. This car doesn't have basic luxury features, that come as options on small Skodas. It doesn't even look good. Thanks but no thanks.

I understand the point of this car besides simple EU emission regulations. I've always been screaming for a compact luxury car. So far I owned the original Renault Clio Baccara and the Lancia Musa Platino. Both small and very luxurious. I'd love to see a mini Jaguar, Bentley or Rolls-Royce. The only problem I have with the Cygnet is its origin. Why base it on a Toyota? AM is a traditional sporty, classy British car and they are putting their badge on a Japanese utilitarian. I'm not saying that its a bad car, au contraire however I think that could have chosen a different brand just like RR did using the Mini, a British brand with pedigree. At least the Cygnet is more of an Aston Martin than the Mini inspired by Goodwood is a Rolls-Royce. Jaguar, if you are reading, make a mini Jag!

@RealButcher8 жыл бұрын
I've an iQ... it's from APril 2010, it's red and has CVT of course ... also a towing hook... for Bicycles and a small trailer... (Yes.. European approval by German law) It has daytime-running-lights.. Also it has a rear-view camera and front and rear dash-cams. The wheels are black-spoked ones (from Opel)... Key-less entry... key-less start... His own Routeplanner from Garmin! So more than the Cygnet... only it's plastic and not Leather... It has the same very short turning diameter .. So I would never buy a Cygnet, just because of the (hardly different) bodywork and leather... for that extra price... damn... i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/realbutcher/Aanhanger%202016/IMG_20150608_112616_zpsf2shs49d.jpg

What a cop out from Aston Martin. Ok, the Europrats dictated that Aston had to follow the emissions rules but rather than building a completely bespoke car they gave us this re branded tat. This will only appeal to those with more money than sense and I would rather have anal warts than a Cygnet.

Oh come on, Aston Martin has yet to produce a reliable vehicle. The fact that they took a Scion IQ and mildly tuned it is anything but unique. Then they put in that stupid engine stop feature that does nothing but wear out the engine that much faster. Pathetic.

I suppose I'll buy the Cynet when I own a $200,000+ Aston Martin DB11, so I'll have the perfect car to "nip into town for milk." The people that would buy this thing are rich enough to treat cars as shoes. A pair for every occasion. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE JOKE OF A VEHICLE, and a kick in the face to those who buy tiny cars out of necessity, if they can afford a car at all. It cost what...$50,000+ for a dressed up Scion/Toyota IQ. Absurd. Sorry for the rant.
