Vette and Aston's sounds completly different. I both like them. Normally I'm a V12 fan, but the Vette's V8 has a sound that no other cars has.

I don't understand why some people don't like the Chicanes. I LOVE the fact they added the Chicanes. It makes the course more technical. Anybody can drive fast in a straight lane and it's boring to watch as well as race. From a driver standpoint..the Chicane is a GREAT idea.

I don't know but this is just my opinion: Most people wouldn't know that Darren Turner was a backup driver for Mercedes back in 1999 when they raced the CLR.

@brown9708 The prototypes can get to around 215 or 220 MPH, the GT cars I'd guess around 170-190 depending on gearing (before they put in the chicanes, cars used to get to 250 MPH)

Definitely the quickest petrol car on the circuit...and considering the restrictions they put on non-diesel/hybrid cars I'd say unrestricted this car has a good shot at being the fastest.

@D3DOT: Yes, LMP1 regulations do allow TC, which IMO is good. There is enough racing with technology from the 80s!

@armorgeddon That's pretty bad excuse for having TC. It's not really new tech and secondly there's very little development area left. Would you like ABS too? Unfortunately getting rid of TC in the prototypes isn't really viable: standard ECU is the only sure way of banning it but it's probably out of the question with so many different engines.

@JoeDuveen Yes, I know the sound of that shrieking double V8, but you cannot compare to the atmospheric V12 in my opinion. Nice sound too, but I really do prefer a V12 ! My preferable "ear-taste" !

Question about the transmission in this car.. Do you have to heel toe every downshift or does the computer auto-blip for you like the C6R car does?

The other cars are in different classes, there are lmp cars and gt cars, I believe he is in an lmp1 car and the others that look similar are lmp2 cars, the ones that look like modified sports cars are the gt classes
