I did this transcript many years ago. Been playing it every now and then to keep my piano skills fresh during times when I'm practicing mostly guitar. There is an old transcript by someone else circulating on the net that once was published in Japan. It's so full of mistakes it's just baffling. Every recording I've heard except the original uses this transcript with all it's wrong notes.... D-:

La anecdota,dice que piazzola le encargo, a su pianista, el sr dante amicarelli, la introduccion al tema, este le dijo que no era un pianista de tango, le dijo vos lo vas a hacer bien, vaya,vaya hizo una pequeña obra maestra

La composición es integra de Piazolla...la anecdota es que Dante la tocó perfecta a primera vista en el primer ensayo

Brilliant thank you so much for this transcription which is excellent. I've struggled to find anything and agree some arrangements are just baffling or, at best, uninspiring. Have you transcribed or thought about doing the next section as would love to hear it if you do! Another piano project to tempt you perhaps?

Thank you for your nice comment. I've already felt tempted to make a full adios nonino arrangement but haven't found the time. It might happen in a few years maybe. Right now I'm more focused on playing guitar. So stay tuned till then! ;)

Hi, may I ask whether you own this transcript, and if it's legal for me to adapt for two pianos for a public concert with recording (with purchase, of course)? Alternatively, do you know what I can do to get the two-piano version? The reason why is because I'm performing with another pianist Adios Nonino for two pianos on Esplanade, but I really really need a score and right to perform/royalty. I really want the version that includes Cadenza as it sounds much more complete with it, and have been contacting multiple transcribers/composers without any returning information.

Hello Daniel, I made the transcript in the video and as far as I'm concerned you can use my transcript for free for whatever you like. Though I'm not sure about the legal situation concerning copyright. I don't have any rights on that music. Also there is an old official published version in japan of that cadenza, but it's full of wrong notes and for sale in japan only. (One can find pirated scans on google.) I based my version on the recording by piazzolla's quinteto. Except for like two complex chords, where I had to guess some middle voices, I can guarantee that everything is just as in the recording. For most parts I even used a spectrogram to get everything right. Well, the fingering I had to come up myself. You should also know that there is another cadenza for Adios Nonino which Piazzolla wrote for the later pianist Pablo Ziegler. I don't like it as much and it also seems to be much more challenging to play. You might have more luck finding good and copyright-backed sheet music for that. Btw said Pablo published an arrangement of Adios Nonino for two pianos on his website. Unfortunatly without any cadenza. :/ Hope I could help and good luck with the concert!
