Hi Mechanricks, I congratulate you for the video because you make it very easy to understand and install the screen. I recently bought one and I have a question: - I have not been able to get the steering wheel controls to work. After trying to configure them from the application they don't do anything, possibly I've left some cable to connect? I've tried to check all the cables again and I can't find what it could be. Thanks for your comment. Have you got the original Hazard light switch set connected to the black Y split cable and hidden behind the stereo? That was the problem I had originally

Hi Mechanricks, Nice video! Would it also possible such a radio instal in my Insignia 2013 Hatchback with LPG/GPL 1.4 turbo? The gps maps are no longer updateble and I searching for something replaceble with Android. If this type you show in de video is not adapteble for my car, do you have the knowledge which I can use? Hi GloriousWolf, lucky for you there is an option available for the Insignia mk1 upto 2013. You can find it here - a.aliexpress.com/_EGSLhsV Its the same procedure for fitting, if unexperienced I would recommend getting it fitted by someone who knows what they're doing & go for the 4G/64GB model. Thanks mate 👍 yeah the 32gb memory with 4gb ram version & Qled screen is the model used here, there are better spec options but don't get anything less if you want smooth response

The Sat nav thats pre installed with full UK maps is iGo navigation. I find it to be really good, that been said with it being Android you can install any navigation software of your choice 👍

Hi, just installed these few hours ago, would have loved knowing that i need to modify the dashboard rather then wondering around :)) I bought it only for carplay, haved used it much obvs, is there any way i can make it go straight to car play when i turn it on? Thank you

You & me both, I had to figure it out the hard way without any help 😂 As an android phone user I'm not sure about car play on bootup but my daughter has an iPhone so if I figure that out I'll let you know 👍

The cable should be in the kit but the fan has a cable with a white plug that go's directly into the back of the headunit, there's a full manual I've uploaded for you here that has wiring layout to try help uploadnow.io/f/mvsw0QH

How did you manage to remove the old stereo bracket?

Cut down each outer edge with a hacksaw blade and snap down, you can use a rotary grinder or any tool of choice just be careful 😉👍

Great question, this model is not suitable for your version, I believe there is a variant for models with eco, tour & sport buttons

Themes can be downloaded from the settings menu but it does require an Internet connection, the theme shown in the video is the stock theme. I can do a short video showing the process of custom launchers and themes install if required 👍

@@MECHANRICKS Goodmorning, can you please tell me how to make an internet connection? Is a wifi dongle better than installing a sim card adapter.

You have the option of either using a sim card to be placed in the dongle with the wiring thats provided or you can go into settings on the stereo and connect it to any WiFi network available locally or by tething a mobile phone Internet connection. I hope this helps if not I'll make a short video to show the process 👍
