The only bad aspect of the game is the stamina system and somewhat pvp (you still get points even if you lose) The gacha system is barely a problem. I'm used to the character + weapon system due to playing old gacha games or things like gran blue. (Can clear the game with all the free units)

You can actually compress 80 stamina into a boot and use that boot as a multiplier in a stage and get 8x rewards also works to level up faster

Shoes =10 for one run, there’s also a shoe or large shoe I forget what it’s called but it cost 80 to craft in town and it acts as a drop multiplier x7 so on the boss battles or your accessory farming id use them then, can only hold 5 though so hopefully in the future they change that.

Game is gorgeous and completely got me hooked. Not for everyone though. They need to address a few things as soon as possible: pvp rework, gacha mechanics and bugs. Other than that I am completely hooked by the style and fast paced 2d combat. Love it.

I being playing more than 50 hours. Super addictive with free selector 5 star after playing one month. Its a masterpiece game. Buying stamina is only 25 gems. Very cheap compare most games. Coop is really fun with tank and healer role is important. Its not just dps. Need skill to dodge and it need strategy as well. Story is amazing.

I played the beta and now i'm playing the game and loving it, but the launch was a mess (I was one of that get softlock in the tutorial) a lot of bugs and some misinformation in banners and other things that's why so bad reviews on Steam. The other problem is the PvP a hell of a farm for points that people just put their chars without equip to die fast in auto. The best part is that you can coop with anyone any time. But yeah the art is the best part that reminds me of Vanillaware games.

They said they added auto play to help with the feel of burn out. I, and others said skip clear/sweep would be better, and easier for them to implement, I and some others even suggested it back in the Oct. beta, before they announced auto play, but oh well. If they're giving a ten pull, for winning in PvP, it sounds like they really want people to do PvP, which means it could be a more PvP focused game once you get through the PvE campaign. I've been busy with other things, so haven't installed it yet, but now I feel like not bothering. They also *AGGRESSIVELY* marketed the game to people that were already looking to play, and following their social media accounts, but seemed to do nothing to bring new people in. For instance, this wasn't sponsored, they didn't have a content creator thing where they could test out the game, they didn't seem to run any ads, anywhere, and so on. During the Oct. beta, they ran some ads, but they were all in PC gaming sites, filled with people that hate mobile games, and gacha, so that was a waste of money. I just can't make sense of what these devs are thinking.

I see some CC getting sponsored by this game and make a video about it tho. They even bought in some vtuber and questionable people like tectone (which pretty much make me don't wanna play the game), so I guess their issue is just they didn't pick the right people for their advertisement So far I've enjoyed the story, but the game really need to do so something to establish their community, the amount of haters I see on this game in within 2 days is just nuts (mostly comes from people that really hate the game for having hoyoverse gacha system and ui, basically hoyoverse haters now come to hate this game too). I just hope it won't take a month to get some events

Then if Tectone was doing any content for it, where is it? I checked, and there was nothing in his recent videos on it, I did a channel search for ASTRA, still nothing, looked at his Twitch, nothing, did a web search for it, nothing. Then as a general rule, don't play online games, especially mobile ones, for the story. Even if it starts off well, it tends to either go to shit, or be largely abandoned later on. Finally Genshit wasn't the origin of any of the things you mentioned, or anything on a whole really. It was always just a patchwork of things pulled from other games, it's just since it was the first gacha for many, many just keep comparing everything to Genshit. In reality, it's like how years back when South Korean devs were pumping out PC online games like crazy, people would often comment how the UI used in many of them all look about the same.

@@Someone--Else It was an ads, I see tectone, shylily and, some other vtuber that I never see making the sponsored video, it's the one with the cringy shouting "ASTRA ASTRA ASTRA!!!" Genshin is the first gacha that introduce 90 pity with 50/50, not even Honkai impact did that (I don't recall any gacha game did that prior to genshin, in fact if you look at genshin first release video there are dozen of video that explain how the pity work since it's the first if it's kind). Also the UI being similar is goes beyond just aesthetic, pretty much the function is the same, the reward of battle pass is the same, constellation, tower of trial, etc Sure it's normal for game to be similar to other, I mean that's what a genre actually mean, all afk game has similar feature, all souls game has similar gimmick, all turn based games has similar mechanic, it's normal. But the issue here is if you only copy the bad thing but do nothing to compensate, then there is a problem. Sure use genshin gacha system, but bring more reward and appealing event so you don't suffer like genshin. Sure bring RNG weapon stat with RNG slot system (which pretty much casino), but bring more way to get it. Again I like this game, but the amount of haters just because this game has genshin pay scheme is just nuts and the dev need to work fast on it (which honestly a shame, this game feels closer to guardian tales yet being watered down so much by the genshin aspect that people turn blind eye on it) For example, I will pick nikke, nikke even though it's look like a shooting game at it's core it's an afk game. It has all the afk feature afk game ever has (afk reward, combat power system, full auto pvp, elemental tower, dupe system, even the reward scheme) and as expected when the game first released it got huge problem, the combat power is broken (a single digit of different between recommended CP and your team will result in halving your entire stat), the dupe is so unforgiving back then (it being called impossible to play without swipe), and the afk reward generate too slow. And the thing is all of those are common symptom of what afk game generally has, but the dev act quickly, in just a month they immediately address all those stuff and they even give more reward than any other game to make it more f2p friendly. Nowaday you look at nikke and it is one of the most successful game out there, very f2p friendly, good story arc and music, etc. ASTRA dev need to do the same to fix the genshin symptoms and act fast, otherwise thing won't look good Sorry for long post btw

Because they aggressively marketed it to the people that were already following it, but seemingly did nothing to attract new people to it. During the Oct. beta, rather than trying to market it to the mobile market, they marketed it to PC gaming sites, but people there tend to hate gacha, and mobile games, so that was a waste of money. In short, the reason you hadn't heard of it, is that their marketing *SUCKS.*

Everything is good besides the arena, for some reason regardless of your Arena rank, you will be matched with players with the same level. I only started going to Arena after having my characters lvl 50 and Im matched with players close with my own level instead of being matched with people under the same rank. Its easier to grind arena when you're lower lvl, no wonder why the top players in Arena are around lvl 10, while me at lvl 25 I barely pass 50 points. This is on top of no kill matches, where me and my enemy cant kill any characters lol.

You should try it for yourself if you're curious about it. Most gachas have problematic first patches, but progressively get better over time. Even Honkai Star Rail had horrible stamina issues in early patches. Punishing Gray Raven also had a disastrous start and now it's a gem.

Pros: Excellent art style and character design, Surprisingly good VA (except you Paimon 2), Cons: Monetization, Anti-cheat running in the background, Genshin-level rates without the same amount of income, Auto-battle AI that LOVES to break everything on the map before going ahead and you have to manually finish the level for it to finish, No sweep option, interesting lore and story introduction but slows down after the intro. I really, really want this game to be a mainstay for me because the character designs are amazing, but the rates, income and the inconvenient dailies is rough. Hopefully the devs are willing to change things as time goes on, but i'm not expecting much.

Okay my review after playing this game for like 10 hours.. the very first hours the game becomes exciting, the design looks great, you grind your first 5 star character... But then suddenly it drops off massively and the joy is gone. It didnt really hold me. For me the quests were boring. It was just going stage after stage after stage. The combat also didnt feel great (on mobile at least). But oh well, the game just got released.

Tbh, personally i love the game so far. I think the flaws are definitely there, but people seem to be bandwagoning on just hating the game and saying the most dumb misinformed stuff. This video's no exception. Especially that section where you regurgitate opinions about the story youve heard. Also. "Im bored" my dude of course youre bored its primarily a story game and you skipped it all. That said though, i must say, Paimon Veda is absolutely insufferable, thats the biggest issue for me. Paimon Veda: "Minion number one lets get the rewards!" MC: "..." Thats a lot of interactions with them ive noticed.

The game is surprisingly good ngl, I mean sure the gacha system copied from Genshin is bad imo since the game isn't a big open world 3d rpg that would even by a bit justify the need for such greed in their gacha. *But* the 4* characters are very usable as healers, tanks and DPS and if someone has skill issues or is struggling on a stage just go co-op and the game just becomes way much easier lmao. PvP is busted though, Saeya and that 4 star healer together is just straight up cancerous they need to balance this game mode

The game is kind of strange in that there is very little honeymoon period, the early battles are boring, stingy currency, can't get beginner 5 star without devoting a few hours, etc, so most people will probably quit fairly quickly.. however the more I played the more fun it got. I still won't play it long term because how stingy it is, but have had more fun day 2 than I did day 1.

Also FG your battling in pvp with a lvl 18-20 leveled char opponent and your highest level is only 15 the rest is lvlv11 So you will lose most likely

If you look around in the comments for this video, by a primarily mobile gamer content creator, that deals with gacha games a lot, there's a good handful of people saying things like how it'd be good, if it wasn't a gacha game.
