spiff crawling into the tank is genuinely terrifying, imagine your in battle safe in your tank that you designed, than you eventually get stuck... and see somebody half your size contorting their body and breaking their limbs to get in through the hole in the wheel, that is horrifying

I'm so down for Spiff doing a bunch of TABS videos, he's exactly the kind of person you want for a game like this. You could also do this challenge using the bard, since they have an actual ability that distracts enemies and can't really damage anything.

One time I won a battle with bards. Most fell off the map and the enemies followed. The one I controlled just remained further away and I hit the enemies when they approached. Yes, bards have a secret attack but only players can use it. Pretty weak but works on weaker enemies.

I actually really enjoy this game. Maybe one day you could make your own units and factions and put them against the game's factions. The game automatically sets a cost so you don't have to worry about making something too OP since it will just be more expensive by default. The auto cost isn't perfect and could always be adjusted but it's good when you want a cost to get a rough idea before setting it yourself.

Oh yes you do. I've made an unkillable unit (x2). Plus the auto point cost is very dumb, leading to sometimes 0 point cost or even negative, which GIVES you points for using them in an army. I accidentally created like 4

@@kaepora66 I've never had zero or negatives before when making general fun to use units. I've only had weird costs when I set them myself but even then there is a minimum and maximum it can be. Besides, purposely creating overpowered units defeats the purpose of what I was suggesting. I meant just make a fun custom faction that would be entertaining to watch rather than just make units to cheese through every challenge you give them. Sure sometimes the costs can be inaccurate but that's mostly when changing projectiles from weapons and stats but even then, I've never had things completely unusable. Zeros and negatives shouldn't even be possible without hacks unless you've encountered some kind of weird bug

@@DreamingNightmares Yes I have encountered a bug. Making units so powerful their cost becomes zero or in the negatives is rare but possible. When it comes to making balanced units, I always put them at least a decent bit above their recommended point cost as the game is poor at giving a proper price, else you will always have a unit stronger than the opponents. Your unit should win 50/50 or so against the "test unit" battle in the editor. Increasing a units weight stupidly increases the price, whilst turning the damage and attack speed up to 10000 can sometimes not increase the price at all. The auto generator happens to be pretty bad at its job, which is why I assign my units a proper cost, usually higher than the regular one, sometimes lower.

@@kaepora66 True, and sometimes it makes one unit have one price and a worse one have a higher price so I let it pick for me then adjust what it gave to make it more reasonable. And the test fight is often not the best. My units are sometimes so cheap that I can't even test them because it isn't giving enough enemies to test them out on. Other times it creates too many enemies or enemies too strong so it's impossible to test the unit. Also it's a shame that you can never test healers (or just guys who do negative damage to their own teammates) because they'd just stand there and die in the test. And also why is lay down something that raises the cost? It makes the unit a lot worse... Really the auto cost is only good for beginners who don't know the balancing of TABS' already in game units well enough to do it themselves

This kind of content is what youtube used to be for me. Funny, unique, and with an engaging idea that just is so fun to watch. (Spiff's witty personality helps). It was the most hilarious thing to watch that little halfling wiggle its way into the tank- and Spiffs legitimate reaction to it was the best thing I have witnessed on youtube in years. PLEASE keep making this sort of goofy content, it works so well with the type of videos you normally make! I was dying laughing!

TABS would probably also be cool with a 1 unit challenge. Though, there probably needs to be some limits other than just points since player-controlled scarecrow and secret units are way too strong.

Well some secret units, especially the cheaper ones, are actually quite average, in fact some would be completely useless on their own. Imagine an army of cheerleaders. They'd kill themselves and the one halfling on the other team will win.

@@DreamingNightmares Yeah, the problem, however, is that a lot of levels have 1-2k points to spend and when the secret units get to that price and higher, while some a still pretty bad, quite a few are very strong, especially when player controlled to keep distance. Not to mention CLAMS! which is a very strong controlled unit for only 500 points.

Haven't watched it yet but one thing is for sure, spigg + TABS is an obligatory banger. Looking forward to you serializing this content! Edit post watch : You give halflings too little credit! They are insane, I recall a lot of (admittedly early) campagin chapters that just got smashed by spamming halflings. I even think you thought too hard on certain fights and you could have just spammed halflings in the frontline and it would have worked. These little guys are pretty good in certain matchups. Anyway really pumped to see the following stories with them!

Spiff, do you know about the secret units? On most maps, if not all, are some special objects you have to look at for a bit to unloock a secret unit, you know that you look at the right thing if it starts to glow.
