I just bought this headset.. With that 3.5mm audio double male cable, I can plug that into my phone and listen to my music?

Just a quick note...like the previous A40's...the ear plates/covers are removable and the microphone can be installed on either side.

These headsets are surround sound. They will capture the steps someone takes either from the left or right.

These headphones are not wireless. You have to plug the m80 into the controller for it to be able to operate.

The controller. It wouldn't be a problem unless you don't have rechargeable batteries. The headset doesn't take that much battery life either ways

The Xbox one controller has a built in connector similar to a Bluetooth device to where the console will send game volume to the Xbox one controller. That way, when you have a special head such as the M80 mixamp pro, you will head both game volume and chat volume through your Astros.

I'm sure you can find a cable for Xbox 360 somewhere in the Internet. Old Astros for previous gen consoles had cables similar to these Astros where the head you plug into the headset are the same. So I'm sure there are a few around.

Yes. Just buy splitters and plug in the AUX cord into the headset and the other end into the Splitters. Then plug the splitters into the correct slot in your PC.

So that's it. Only the Chat cable in the controller? No other kabels to your TV? And also, what's the difference between this one and the A50 for the One ( I know it's wireless, but can't see the difference) ? Cause Both do work with the Chat cable.

When you have a special Head (in this case, the M80 mixamp), the headset you are wearing will have game volume. The Xbox one controller has a built in connector similar to a Bluetooth device that allows game volume to be sent to the controller. That way, the A40 WILL have both Game volume and Chat volume.

The left ear set does not work and my microphone doesn’t pick up my voice unless it is really close. This problem is only when I use the mixamp. My controller is up to date. When I use the regular cord it comes with it works but not very good.

Ok, so the headset gets power/chat from the controller but how does the headset receive the game audio signal from the Xbox. Through the controller? How is this possible and does the headset adversely affect the controllers battery life? I play on a monitor at the other side of my room from where my xbox one sits via a 10m hdmi cable ... Will this be a problem?

Not a problem at all, the Xbox sends the audio through the controller to the headset. That's why it's 5.1 and not 7, however it still sounds and works great.

The headset will take some battery life but not that much. I assume you already have a charging station or something. If not, then I suggest you buy one because those batteries are killers.

You can buy an previous Gen for 250$(idk if the price went down or not) but that one is USB, Surround Sound and with the purchase of the Xbox adapter for 25$ that headset can be used on ps4,x1,pc and all previous Gen I'm surround sound. Way better buy imo

I looked it up and they updated the bundle I was talking about. For 250$ you get the Gen 2 headset and mixamp the actually surround sound one. Then you buy a Xbox adapter to talk or you can use Skype on xbox if you don't want to spend the 25$.

You need to buy splitters and plug the AUX cord into the headset and splitters. Then plug the correct splitter heads into the slots on your PC.

Yeah I updated both of them and it does the same thing. It only does it when I turn the controller on or off though, everything else works fine.
