For those who are wondering about wether they should buy it or not. The headset is more looks than it is sound quality. It sounds terrible compared to the Astro A20 which allows you to change the sound settings via computer. On this pair you can’t do that. I’m sure you can use a mix amp from the previous A40’s. This headset is not wireless by the way.

@@AABBOOVVEE Unfortunately you cannot with the new wire that comes with these ones. The old wire they shipped out had that functionality, but as of these new gen ones you do require the mix amp. If you're willing to drop the extra money, they're definitely worth it though.

I have the a10s the only thing That I don’t like about the Astros that have a cord is the position of the cord coming out of the headsets.. IMO it’s a bad design for the user .. Good for Astro because they rub on our shoulders and are uncomfortable poking us.. I have had to buy 3 cables so far.. The jack on the end of the cable should have a 90 degree angle coming out of the headset.. I’m tired of paying for cables ASTRO !!!

@@ChenteCasanova it may not be as good as the Astro one but will be better than the base headset. The Astro mix amp also enables 7.1 dolby surround. Not sure if the amp you have does that but it's well worth it if you have the money to spend.
