Thanks so much Jay! I’m really grateful you all welcomed me in, set me up with some great accommodations, and fed me (maybe too much for my hourglass figure 😂). It was so much fun experiencing the eclipse with you and all of the guests. Very enjoyable time!

Thank you so much for sharing the awesome experience we had at Camp Ondessonk! It lets me re-live it over and over! Your photography is fantastic! Thank you for your kindness during the eclipse by sharing your telescopes and knowledge with us!

Amazing Doug. These events come by so rarely its good that you managed to record it for you to look back on.

Thanks John!! Indeed! I just finished analyzing and choosing the best 30 of eclipse sequence last night (I had 6k images!). Didn’t want to miss something so I went the lucky imaging route lol.

Very nicely done. I may have been in your neck of the woods; McLeansboro. Nothing compares to totality. What gear did you use for this?
@AstroAF9 ай бұрын
Hi Larry! You were just about 3.5 hours away! Totality was really amazing! I used my normal kit listed in description with white light filter and I went with a uv/ir cut filter, I’ve found that helps get more detail and reduce noise. Did you have clear skies for the eclipse? Cheers! Doug

@@AstroAF Some wispy cirrus, but transparent enough. Shot a time-lapse with my SeeStar and real-timed totalilty; I'm impressed with it's performance but you got the prominences and finer detail better. This was my second, and probably last; I mostly soaked it up and just enjoyed it - it goes so quickly.

@@larrychristianson2244 very happy you were able to take it in. I did take time to observe visually with my glasses. Had about 20 guests at our location who were huddled around. They didn’t get in the way at all, in fact they were all super interested in my computer screen! I had to tell them to look up and see it for real! 😂
