Max tire pressure isn’t what you want. Vehicle manufacturers recomendation is prob closer to 36 psi. Max will cause the center of the tire to wear faster, less traction and a harsh ride.

48 psi is too much. You should check the proper psi for that car. It is posted right when you open the driver side door.

Use the tire and loading info sticker on the driver's side door, it shows the correct tire pressure for the front, rear, and spare tire if you have one, Max psi on the side of the tire has nothing to do with your tire pressure for your given vehicle model, it the max pressure that tire can handle from the tire manufacturer and using that instead of the car companies tire psi will lead to uneven tire wear and maybe even a blowout
