No matter how many times you die to Margit, you're still doing better than I did. Took me wayyyyy longer just to get to him, and multiple game sessions to beat him. In the end, I cheesed like crazy. Made 99 poison arrows, summoned the helper and a Spirit Ash, and plastered him with poison arrows while helpers took all the hits.

You'll probably learn this eventually if you haven't since posting this but when it comes to your roll timing wait as long as you can and roll through the attacks instead of trying to create distance. You get an immunity window called I-frames that will help a lot. Also the person that mentioned playing Monster Hunter on your stream, they're probably right. I played a few hundred hours of monster hunter world and the dodge rolls seem so similar.

If you see a red x next to the weapon, that means you don’t have the required stats to use it effectively. From the streams I watched, I’m surprised no one informed you. If your stats aren’t high enough, in this case being strength, the weapon doesn’t do nearly as much damage as it should.

Thanks for commenting! I’m wondering if it still reduces the damage if I wield it with two hands? Or does it not matter for damage? I was under the impression that as long as I wield it with two hands it should still do the same damage. I might be wrong though 😅

@@PaigeTheWitch I'm not caught up on this stream, so you may already know this, but 2-handing a weapon reduces the strength requirement for it by 1/3. So, if a greatsword requires 30 strength, 2-handing it lets you use it with only 20 strength.

@@jerq887 10 is 33.333% of 30. If the requirement is str 30, and you reduce the requirement by 33.333% (1/3), you're reducing it by 10, so you get str 20 as the requirement.

@@jeffers0315 ..... if you HAVE 20 str and you GAIN 10 with a second hand... thats 50% str GAINED that GAIN isn't calculated from what the weapon requires from you my man you're calculating it backwards

Also that was a really good first Margit attempt! He was very passive, perfect for your mage. It's also really great to see how you're dogding is already 1000 times better than in episode one! This is going to be a great Let's Play to watch

Paige needs to pay more attention to her surroundings when playing Elden Ring to find and see things she has missed a long the way. The ruins where the huge flower was is a mini boss down some steps, break glowing skulls laying around the world gives you golden runes that go to your inventory that you can use when ever you feel like it I always save mine to use when I want to buy things from npc’s or the blacksmith. You can summon helps when doing certain bosses if there is a golden summon sign on the ground before the boss, not to mention you can summons you spirits as well. Another key point don’t sell any weapons you won’t be able to get them back, unless it drops from a world enemy.

Ughh, me yelling to the screen "no no don't sell those weapons for literally nothing, you can never get them back, you can use them as mage too!!" didn't work...

@@PaigeTheWitch Wait till you need close to 3.5 million runes to level up. The game gets way, way scarier the second you risk loosing millions of runes.
