As she with Mercury in the 12th conjunct her ascendant, who has Pluto in her sixth with her north node (and her Uranus)... and just too many other signatures that made me so appreciative of this conversation--thank you very--very--much. I've heard rare others discuss the association of Mercury with the psychopomp, Pluto with Jung, therapy, etc., but I've never heard another integrate these so beautifully before, and I am grateful, so grateful I needed to pause to say so.

I live in the path of totality, so I was able to watch the total solar eclipse this spring, in my backyard. It was one of the most exciting, memorable events of my life. I am so grateful, I will remember it forever. It was a miracle to see. The clouds parted enough in time to not obstruct the view.

@48:00 with regards to Rick playing the flute and acknowledging the eclipse in one of his lectures, it reminded me of what Islam teaches me about eclipses. The story is that the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had a son who died on the day of an eclipse. So people began to associate eclipses with bad things and it became a fear in the community. That is when God revealed to Muhammad the prayer for an eclipse, to be done in a group, during the time of the eclipse. Muhammad (pbuh) told the people that eclipses are not something you should fear, as bad things can happen anytime and God is Almighty, instead of fear, you should remember and admire your Lord and give Glory to your Lord and his Greatness. Sounds to me like Rick is on a similar wave length. I think God created the stars for us to admire Him, and give Glory to Him. He created everything so perfectly. Subhanallah.

About watching eclipses: DO IT! Like Rick, I have been fortunate to be in totality for three solar eclipses and tens or dozens of lunar eclipses in my life. It is stunning and wonderful. That said: I learned the hard way to be careful doing magick in the leadup or winding down period of any eclipse.

Sometimes you will not become conscious of a phrase or the like until it resonates. The other day I walked into the laundry room and the washer reminded me "cycle complete". Granted, it's temporary housing so everything is new to me here until I get my footing again. But I had to just laugh and agree because I've put in the work and at times can be hard on myself. I'm closing out difficult cycles I never thought I could.

SO Good! Sun, Mercury, SN all cazimi (within 7 degrees) 29 of Cap in the 2nd house. Thank the Divine that Venus is conjunct ascendent, and Jupiter is foundational in 4th (Pisces.) Pluto creates a T-square from the 10th house. 43 years after the gift. I remember a 'light being' telling a four-year-old me, "Issa, you will one day, learn to love your brother." This IS all that matters. Namaste!

He's a great speaker. Full of dynamism and some occasional insights but also awash in generalities. As an astrologer, he is too zoomed in. Something that would help his work is to zoom out and to look at outer planets when more than one inner planet makes an aspect to them. Not just one. Mercury trine pluto is a non-event, with all due respect. Saturn semisquare pluto is significant when an inner planet makes an aspect as well which will happen around Sept 8. Something he missed is the Sun/Saturn opposition with a semisquare to pluto. THAT may be noticeable bec there is an intermediary planet in aspect. Inner planets on their own in aspect to pluto are glacial. Not noticeable and not meant to be.
