You heard me!!! It's a SCAM!!!! Why though? I guess there's a lot of reasons & i will return to this with a more formal discussion on it, but for now i had this on my mind & wanted to share it with you.

Haha! It will be better!! And you’re right, at least with me. I wouldn’t have it any other way. If not astrophotography then what, golf, boating, flying, wine making, classic cars, or any other hobby of passion with a wallet attachment that one might go after. It’s all about doing stuff that makes you happy and maybe others find enjoyment in what you’re up to as well. It’s really nice that there is community and clubs around this hobby. 😂 possibly. But it’s nowhere near as bad as the Ponzi scheme going on in the dive industry. The whole zero to hero program costs thousands, and when you are finally an instructor you make less than a McDonalds employee. 😅 At least with astrophotography all your monetary damage is self inflicted and not coerced. 😂

Of course its a scam, like every other hobby these days. The manufacturers want your money, of course they do or they would go out of business. The secret is is to spend on gear that you will actually use, not on the gear that you would like to use but haven't really got the time to. Remember the old sayings, can you afford it, do you really need it and if something seems too good to be true then it probably is.

Thanks for your reply. You are 100% correct. It's absolutely a scam, not only with suppliers because we just always want newer & better, new & improved.... More modern gear but it's essentially like golf... many holes with poor results... then you have that one eagle or birdie.. or even a hole in one & you come back for more ... because ... endorphins!!! Cloudy skies... with a clear patch & you get amazing data!!! So you come back for more and more and more!! Human nature i guess.
