Been using the ASIAIR Plus for a while....and then watching this video shows I am using it completely wrong (things like Guiding Calibration which have been a problem) and also framing and focus technique. Amazing what others can show you. Thanks for the video Richard.

hey sir, at 5:46 i stopped to comment here that you might explore station mode, this will allow you to join the asiair to your local wifi, and you can contact the asiair directly. the benefit of this is that you wont have to manually reconnect to the asiair when it reboots, it will come back up on the wifi, you will be already connected, and as soon as its up again, your asiair app will see the asiair on the wifi and you will be able to connect again without any trouble.

btw, i am not saying this is better, perhaps you have other reasons that you want to keep the asiair off the local wifi. i am just saying that i got tired of reconnecting all the time, and i enjoy station mode more for my own arrangements. i really appreciate seeing your use of the app and hearing your interpretations.

The AIR WiFi works for me, even when I'm indoors. But it might not work for everyone. So having station mode as an option is a great feature. 💫

I personally would never be happy with this polar alignment. I try to get it under .30 no matter if I’m using a wide field scope or a longer focal length. It just takes a few more minutes of minor adjustments.
