He literally is almost Soto's equivalent batting just a little less on base percentage and it's minimal. But the base running and defense is beyond anything Soto has ever shown even in his best days in the field Tucker is a phenomenal player and if he's going to get 35 per year for 10 years that will be an incredible bargain you'd be getting sodas production at half the cost

If you guys think Juan Soto is going to have the same year like 2024 you are sadly mistaken. 1-played in Yankee stadium , 2- had Aaron Judge the best player in baseball , 3-defensively not great , 4-running the base path not great , 5- dealing with New York and playing for the Yankees type of pressure excellent - is it worth $760 million dollars no . If the Yankees get the right players the will be way better than last year and will probably win it all .

If Ohtani would’ve pitched in 2024 and had those numbers then hands best player in baseball. But all he did was DH so his value was only offense side . So Judge takes best player this year .

I am not sure what to think as a Cubs fan on Tucker. Great player. I just don't know if I want to risk squeezing out Owen Caissie from RF. Yes, if Tucker walks, Caissie is there. I just would rather see the Cubs trade for pitching, sign Bregman for 3B, trade Bellinger and our 2B for minor league pitchers that can be up in 2-3 years and open up spots for Shaw and Caissie.

I think if a team that trades for him offers him a deal that would pay him 25M this year and 40M per after could get him to extend. He's only set to get 16M with arbitration. So an offer of 8 total years at 305M could get him to bite.

No way he signs before Yanks trade for him. He is smart and knows that batting in Yankee stadium with Judge he will likely have an even better year than Soto last year because he is well rounded. But Yankees should use that as negotiation not to include Gil as he may be a 1 year rental. But Soto is an egomaniac so can’t say that Tucker would do the same to the Yankees because Juan did it.

Yankees need to do this. Gil is overrated anyway. Having Tucker makes them the overwhelming favorites in the AL. Even if he goes into free agency that doesnt mean you cant sign him back. 400/500 million would have him back anyway and thats alot less than Soto for the same production. No brainer imho
