The Astros won Game 5 13-12.. 13 + 12 = 25. The Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl. Also, on Altuve's 3 run home run. He tied the game 7-7 which was his 7th home run of the postseason, on Maeda's 7th pitch of the at-bat.. 7+7+7+7= 28..Altuve hit a 3 run home run The Falcons blew a 28-3 lead... and both these games happened in Houston

The Astros cheated "throughout the Postseason" in 2017, so Altuve knew what pitch was coming. (See MLB report Page 3, para. 2). img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-images/image/upload/mlb/cglrhmlrwwbkacty27l7.pdf The cheating employed by the Astros in 2017 taints everything. If a team can sit back on all off speed pitches and foul off anything near the strike zone, it makes it very difficult for a pitcher to do anything on 3-2 except throw a strike and hope they miss. Kershaw threw 51 off speed pitches and the Astros swung and missed at ZERO of them. Someone ran a computer sim, and the odds of that happening were 128,061 to 1. So it would take 4266 years and it MIGHT happen again. That's not even baseball anymore.

With all due respect, if the batter doesn’t know if it’s a fastball, it makes all the difference in the world. And it definitely doesn’t all come down to the last pitch. It’s the ability to fool a batter earlier in the count. You have to watch the entire at bat. His record against the Astros outside that one at bat is instructive: 31 innings NO home runs, .493 OPS. They haven’t been able to touch him. But game 5 was different - he couldn’t fool anyone. And we all know why.

There is this guy who said height matters in baseball. I have to show this guy who Altuve is then show them this. Baseball doesn’t require height, it requires good eye, quick with the bat, and strength. There’s probably more that it requires but wtv. This is not the NBA where 6’3” is an average size point guard, and anything lower than that is short. In baseball, you can be 5’5”,and you can still have power, strength, good eye and so many more.

@@samuelsandate9804 ....Maeda has a slider and a fastball. His slider is never a strike. Its thrown to get the hitter to swing at a pitch out of the zone. But there is no charge whistle when he throws it. So the hitter won't swing at it cause he knows it's coming. Then you here the charge whistle. That means a fastball is coming. Maeda throws the fastball for a strike. It's going to be in the zone. Altuve was alerted to this by the charge whistle. That's why he hit it deep. That's the advantage.

There's whistles for breaking balls and fastballs. Even the loud whistles that I thought were more obvious happened on both types of pitches. It seems hard to be able to differentiate something like that when it's that loud. Correa said after the investigation that they didn't use anything for this game for that reason (though, they didn't talk about the other home games; he just used this one as an example that it wasn't every game).

@@manatortv Eh, the Astros were already well-known for being successful at laying off pitches...maybe not to such an extent as this but Kershaw wasn't exactly throwing a great game (Idk where you got the impression he was throwing well). Additionally, Kershaw is infamous for performing poorly in the playoffs. I chalked this kind of game up to both lineups seeing the ball really well, which was the only time in the series both teams were on, aside from Game 2 in the extra inning frames. He finally overcame it this past WS but the Dodgers may have had luck on their side with Kevin Cash making several questionable strategic decisions.

@@andrewmcnicoll4268 The astros WERE known for hitting the ball well in 2017 and were the team that had the least amount of offensive strikeouts Problem is... in 2017 they were one of, if not the best teams in baseball history (modern era) to not strikeout out. Unfortunately it turns out that no less than a year earlier they actually had the most strikeouts as a team in MLB. No, this isn't because they got rid of chris carter I got that kershaw was pitching well with my eyes. Outcome does not always equal performance, especially when facing a cheating team. Also yeah kershaw is known for choking, but he would still get a normal amount of strikeouts and swings and misses, because, well he's kershaw. He just always gave up 1-2 big hits. That doesn't affect his swing and miss rate and his strikeout rate. Chalking game 5 up to "Both teams saw the ball well" is literally you ignoring the astros cheating. Dodgers win game 5 like 12-2 if it wasn't for the cheating. Again, crazy how good they did at not striking out against a guy who has a career k/9 of almost 10 lol Kevin Cash pulling snell in game 6, A GAME KERSHAW DIDN'T PITCH IN, has nothing to do with this lmao. True, though there could be a change in code to mask the system, like a decoy. Or one of the whistles was by mistake.

One thing I noticed in this World Series is the fact that the empires favored the Dodgers, but the Astros won anyway despite the favoritism shown by the empires for LA! When the games were in Houston the empires favored the Dodgers with most of the calls that were in between the strike zones and non-strike zones. But when the games were in LA the empires openly cheated against the Astros in the way they called balls and strikes! Astros pitchers always had to deliver the ball to a much smaller and tighter strike zone than the Dodgers pitchers who always get generous strike calls by the empires! Anything within 6 inches of the strike zone would be called a strike whenever the Astros were at bat! I don't have anything against LA and I actually enjoyed my time there when I visited the city a couple of times, but those empires should let the best team win instead of trying to cheat for LA all the time! The game is rigged because of crooked empires, which is the reason why New York and LA always win while cities like Houston always get left out of World Series titles because of the fact that they have to play in games that the empires intentionally cheat against them in favor of popular cities such as LA and New York!

Grand Wonder 1), they’re called umpires. 2) The umpires did not cheat the Dodgers. The Astros fought back. Had the Dodgers won, I’m sure this would never be an issue from you. 3) The umpires were bad for both teams as well. It wasn’t just the Dodgers who didn’t the calls. The Astros had some calls that didn’t go there way in this game as well.
@boots_tx1582
@boots_tx1582 6 жыл бұрын
He's not saying the umpires cheated the Dodgers hes saying they gave the Dodgers a very generous and big strike zone which you can clearly see by all the high inside and outside strike calls. Meanwhile the Astro pitchers had to contend with a much smaller strike zone, a lot of the Dodger called strikes were called balls for the Astros pitchers. Had the Dodgers won this would have been an even bigger issue.
