Lol my mom used to work at Chat n Chew way back in the late 70s. The fact that you included that is awesome.

I grew up in Houston, you made me cry, I love it! Wish you could have added the Viper and XLR8. My heart was happy when i saw the Texas Cyclone! Great job!!!!

You ain’t lying, me too. Man i miss that place so much. This was definitely an older version of the park (thats why you saw the safari boat ride, they ended up replacing that with xlr8)before thunder river, ultra twister batmAn and all that...but still amazing. Like when you rode the cable cars that’s exactly what it looked like crossing over the water where they would do ski and water shows. Chat n chew made me smile

Great video recreation, especially to capture the early theming that made the park so great. I have so many memories of the park from 1968 to 1979. Here are a couple of items of interest that I've not seen elsewhere: 1)There was a "traveling show" in the western section called Dr. Featherflowers Medicine Show that was quite funny, and 2) there was a video released in December 1968 called "The Pied-Piper of Astroworld" starring Soupy Sales. In addition to an unusual cast including Muppets were very young Patrick Swayze (in bear costume) and Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek Next Generation). I used to find snippets on KZbin but can no longer find them. One suggestion for your video is to update the Astroneedle cabin - it had two levels with red trim.

Paul, thank you for your kind comments. I wish I could have a double cabin on the Astroneedle. Unfortunately, the single cabin is the only option in Planet Coaster. I plan to work on V2 of the park later this summer. I will include the "Dr. Featherflowers" wagon. Thanks!

Hi Kyle. It took me approx. 2 months of my free time, evenings and some weekends. I started in early April when the pandemic was ramping up.

Are you in the Houston area by chance? Do you do have a portfolio up somewhere?
@recreatehouston9402 жыл бұрын
Hello, yes I live in Houston. No, I do not have a portfolio. Creating these recreation videos is just a hobby for me. It's a way for me to keep the places that I have loved alive that are now gone. Thank you.

you should make a Hotel Transylvania coaster based off of Atlantis from HT3 where you go around the casino resort (as it says in the movie's wikipage) and enter the Kraken's domain where you ride on his belly and back before falling into his mouth and being farted out of his butt
