The reality is the vast majority of even good classical guitarists will Never, do the original version justice and most likely give up when they find it just too difficult. This simplified shortened version is absolutely brilliant and allows those that love this piece a chance to play a very acceptable version. The most difficult part of the full version of this piece occurs in the first section (which gets repeated) with the bar chords that are just physically difficult to play cleanly (eg the chord in bar 37). This easy version nicely does away with those. It also unfortunately does away with the whole, slower middle section of the full piece. If you can play this easy version cleanly, there is a good chance you can play the slower, middle section of the full piece. I would encourage people to give it a try because, while the piece is probably best known for the first section and you can use it to impress your friends, it is the middle section that I found to be much more interesting and enjoyable to play. If you use this easy version along with the middle and end sections from the original, you will be quite close to playing the whole original piece. It's worth the effort.

I used your long tutorial to make an arrangement for electric guitar. On measure 17 where the triplets used to be. I instead played the triplets with using my 2nd finger holding the E note and my 1st finger to hold down the high B. Then the triplet goes: pluck the E with your thumb(p) and pluck the open B with first finger(i) and high B with second finger (m). Also on the 6th beats, I seen alot of people dropping the triplet to give them time to change chords. You can hardly tell. Thanks for the great help.

OMG! You’re too kind with your precious gifts 🎁 This easier version just encouraged me again as I was really suffering and self torturing myself with the hard version (especially that I’m only a 4-year old self taught beginner from only youtube 😬). But it’s so beautiful that I took it upon myself as a challenge. I had reached measure 28 in the hard version but really sloppily as my fingers aren’t used to such positions. Maybe I should relieve myself with this version...or on second thought, it’s a pity to ditch all that effort that got me where I have reached? Hmmmmm🤔
@vladimirvladimirovich30362 жыл бұрын
You're not ditching anything, you'll be back there with time. I tried to push myself with Capricho Arabe after three years, obviously to no avail. Now after another three years, I'm back, and it's still going terribly, but now I can play through it at least. I guess sometimes it's better to backtrack a bit, build some experience and momentum. Have you tried Tarrega's Marieta and Rosita? Those helped me improve a lot, and they are really fun to play.
@kookythecat.2 жыл бұрын
@@vladimirvladimirovich3036 No haven’t tried Tarrega’s Marieta nor Rosita BUT: I can proudly say that I have mastered his « Estudio » and play it reasonalbly well 😁 I learned it on my second year but mastered those wide stretches only on my fourth. I can also now entirely play Sungha Jung’s version of « Dust in the Wind » ❤️😁 It’s the patience and persistence that did the trick. The hard version is one of the most difficult guitar pieces as far as i know. The tremolo alone takes people year and years to make it sound decent. Even proffesional guitar players that have been playing for decades are often not confident in their tremolo.
@fordprefect43452 жыл бұрын
@@carlpanzram2012 the thing about the tremalo is when I first approached it = garbage. Tried it slow, but no progress. Then thought Imagine you can play it with confidence. Tried a few hundred tines😉 rubbish for the most part then all of a sudden it surfaced just the once. This kept me going as all I had to do know was to do it again. Eventually it came again then I could do it twice and so on. You really do need five minutes or so warming up your fingers even when you are getting good at it. I even now use my pinky. I'm no genius at this but got there in the end after a few weeks Often rather than long sessions a few times a day for ten minutes or so.
