its hard to call which one sounded better, because they sound identical, because Alabama played it to pick at miles obviously, because they play it every year. Alabama states version was louder, and the baritones was beastin though. Alabama tubas was louder and cleaner too. coming from a band director's perspective.

in all honesty......both were about the same cleanliness. what sets the two bands apart on this song selection is simple, " upper brass aggression" bama state doesn't have the best upper brass section but their upper brass section is clearly better than Miles. although miles mellow are some beast they trumpets are garbage. Their on the come up but bama states trumpets are better. bama states mellos are poo but seeing that their section is like half miles mello size I guess their decent on this song. notice I said on this song. other than that Asu mellos are trash. but this one goes to ASU.

With the exception of half the size of Miles Mellos... That would be a naw... Even with 12 Mellos, like ASU, it would have been in favor of Miles... But Asu Btone section is powerful beast!!! Power wise, ASU Btones are top 3 in the HBCU arena and Miles Mellos are the in top three as well
