I kinda wonder why this is considered the pinnacle of the series. I did start off with this game and Burning Fest Final for PS1 and honestly i came to like the PS1 game better aside not having any anime FMVs. Other than the fact this was the last in the series made by Fill-In-Cafe i need to know why this is the best one to fans of this series.

I played the psx version first, then I found the saturn version and never played the psx version again. Not only are graphics better here (by a long shot, take a look at size sprites, animations, and details like sparks and flames, something the saturn could do better than psx regarding 2d games) but also combos are more intuitive and faster (check the battle here and you will notice the difference, specially when blocking a super move)

Details are included in the description of any other versions of the game, this one was only on the Sega Saturn. There were a number of Asuka games released on the PS1 so you might find they are on the Japanese PSN store.
