I like it of course because I am from Asuncion. The city has some really charming corners, especially in the old historic downtown; I enjoy walking those streets, looking at the old colonial buildings, typically Italian style. Traditional families lived there once. The whole area can certainly be better preserved and maintained. But we have few tourists. Besides, a lot of the city activities have now moved to a new area towards the East to the so-called new commercial center, or "eje corporativo",
