@Walter Wanami I assume that you love mobile gaming since you're considering the ROG Phone 3. Note 20 is packed with features you will barely use as a gamer. The hype for Note20 will not last that long. When the S21 is out, that Note will be forgotten. Get the ROG Phone 3 and you will not regret that decision no matter how many iphones and galaxy phones come out in the future.

@Walter Wanami rog 3 has a display issue. Black crush on low brightness. I also considered note 20 ultra and rog phone 3 and went with note20 ultra. Display is king.

Many seems to be negatives on this phone. It's definitely not for everyone, not for me too but I'm glad this thing exist because else, all phone are nothing but same slab of similar spec sheets. More choice always better :D

@Walter Wanami it as a regular phone in 60/90Hz refresh rate you'll simply end up with a sot of around 7.00 Hrs. Even am with mixed gaming 1.5hrs, KZbin, Facebook and other activities ending around 6.00 hrs in 90 and 120hz display speed. And this one is blazing fast and you can throw anything on it. It will run smoothly. The multiple applications work nice though. Actually I was also planned For a samsung device but I feel I landed on the best gadget. The display is good, battery is beast. For a basic use this one is worth every penny. Go for it. Remember it is above 200grams in weight

@Walter Wanami apart from weight I didn't felt anything wrong. May be you feel a camera feel bit lacking side though you're using note 9. ROG 3 is a game centric by the way they placed a good camera but not up to the flagship level may be updations give a boost

Well since the phone is not water-resistant, why cut the headphonejack?!! 🤔🙁😐 I ordered the ROG 3. Just to find out the chiniese Tencent Games version is coming? The seller I got it from eBay asured me it is also build by Asus. Originally I wanted to get the ROG 2 because it still has the headphonejack. But I'm mainly buying it because of the awesone front facing stereo speakers. And the ROG 3's software detects bass and emphasises it. So I went for the 3.

I was wondering how water resistant the phone is for normal use. Would the water go inside the vent and fry the phone? Can I use this phone in rain?.. Can it survive a dunk in water?

I have used my rog 2 in rain and its ok I wouldn't dunk it as the vaper chamber means its easier for water to get inside.

Yes... That's what I used to think but then I saw rog 2 water test by gupta information systems and it survived a two minute dunk so now confused

No no.... I don't intend on dunking my phone.... But then mistakes do happen and i am just a regular user who wants an exceptional screen and great battery life and i dont really care about the weight. But then I might have to use my phone in the rain or maybe the phone might slip from my hand or something. If its very vulnerable then it's not good. If it can survive a dunk or two then good. I think even the sim try doesn't have a rubber gasket which i feel is very bad. But then in the end we have to see real world tests.

Personally I think gaming phones are quite useless, let me explain: Gaming phones are a niche in the smartphone industry and they provided very small performance boosts over normal flagship smartphones. Anyone who can afford to buy this phone is likely very serious about mobile gaming. However, anyone who's serious about mobile gaming likely knows that most of the pros (yes there are pro mobile gamers) normally use an iPad. An iPad provides you with better performance than any phone or android tablet, and they have much larger displays, which is an incredible advantage especially in games like Call Of Duty Mobile. OEMs should definitely consider switching from making gaming phones to making gaming tablets, which I'm sure will make a lot of hardcore mobile gamers very happy. I probably could have explained that better but I've never been really good at explaining things🤷🏽‍♂️

A pro mobile gamer can't carry an iPad in their pocket... Someone who buys a gaming phone expects to use not just the phone for gaming but for making calls/texts and taking decent photos. A gaming phone can do everything a normal flagship can do but better. Take the battery on this device for example, what other phone has it except for the ROG phone 2? The bottom line - a gaming phone isn't just a gaming phone, but an all of everything phone. I respect your opinion, but that's just it, it's just an opinion just like I have my own.
