I’ll never understand why would someone buy a gaming phone. Having the latest ROG phone (8th gen) for comparison, it costs 1000 usd. For a 1000 usd, if you wanna play games, you can buy two PS 5s or one low end gaming laptop, and if you think that’s too big you can buy 3 ROG Allys. Each of these 3 devices are better, most good mobile games are available on them, have better resale value, and are not limited to mobile games. Gaming on phone is just so awkward to me, since you actually grab the screen you’re playing on, you cover your field of view, warm the phone with your hands (or vice versa) and get fingerprints on the screen, and taking away the games that are better in literally any other platform, the only games that are exclusive to phones are Pay to win rpgs and pay to win tycoons, enjoy playing Hey Day on 500 fps I guess. The only good reason (to me) to buy a gaming phone is if you’re looking for a phone and you want something with a little more spice than the typical square 3 camera design that every brand has nowadays, though i think if you want a phone it’s better to have something reliable, the less stuff is flashing and moving, the less stuff can be fucked, and 1000 usd it’s too much for a phone (in my opinion).

Exactly, plus most mobile games are not that powerful where you would need a dedicated gaming phone to play them. You could literally just buy a normal flagship phone and you get better longevity, better camera, better UI/UX, etc and can still play all the games you want easily with no problems

Wish Google Fi supported it😞, unwilling to pay Verizon or ATT 200+ again for Less coverage. And 600+ when I travel internationally. Google Fi my bill is always 56usd a month unlimited no throttling ever, last month was in US, UK, NL, FR, Dubai, Iceland 22GB used 56 had that been the other 2? Oy! Be a small car I'm sure😂. But how I love this phone!! I'm so tired of Samsung Ultras same phone last 3 damn years just more money Dumb!

After 2yrs customer service will worst at the point my friend experienced a problem unknown data on or off problem and switch off problem and he tried to contact asus company no response but he used his mobile for one game its free fire only i dont know why other than that there pc and laptops are top notch but in mobile why i dont know

I've heard bad things about both sides so I'm waiting on it for now. I've seen a lot of people complaining about their Redmagic that suddenly stopped working (before Redmagic 9 release) and I've also seen some similar problems mentioned by Rog users or maybe they're just haters idk I only did research on Redmagic as I was planning to go with Redmagic. Either way I'll be waiting for Redmagic 10 before I make my decision. That reason I mentioned above + I just don't want number 9 so I'll be waiting for 10 lol.

Is it bloody waterproof this time? My note 9 has survived through hell. And instead my $2000dollar Rog 6 pro combusted when it got a small amount of rainwater on it's screen.

1. Yes, it has a water/dust resistance rating of IP68, meaning that it can be fully submerged. 2. Nowhere is the ROG Phone 6 priced at 2000 dollars unless you are talking about non-usd. 3. The ROG Phone 6 Pro has a water/dust resistance rating of IPX4 meaning that it can survive water splashes. It most likely did not "combust" when a "little bit of rainwater got on its screen".
