I've owned this AIO and the fan max speed capped at 2040rpm if direct connect to MOBO cpu fan header and yes not as advertised 2200rpm...but i able to ramp up the fan speed up to 2150rpm by connecting it to a PWM fan hub with SATA power, then attach to cpu han header...maybe some motherboard unable to provide stable 12v power to all 3 daisy chained fan thus fan speed not running at max speed

I think it's best to check your motherboard's fan header specs. Some motherboards dun have all the same power and amperage for all headers. Like as with my asus z790 proart all the fan headers are rated at 12w and 1.0A per header. And each fan has their own amp and wattage requirement. In my case i have 3 bequiet silent wings pro 4 120mm daisy chained to 1 cpu fan header. Each fan is rated at 0.3A and 3.6w.. so in total 3 fans will need 0.9A and 10.8w. So 3 fans will have enough power from 1 fan header. So if i were to daisy chain 4 of my bequiet fans to one header then, they won't get enough power. It's important to check the manuals and understand the power requirements of all components of the pc to avoid any mishaps. As for using a fan hub is not really recommended as all ur fans will run at the same speed as an when the temps/load increase. You can't really control or dial in the fan curves on your bios/software.
@idhamkassim4195 Жыл бұрын
@@Prabhu_njd did you aware this ryujin 3 comes with only 1 male/female daisy chained cable integrated with PWM & ARGB? There is no separate 3 PWM and 3 argb cable coming from the 3 fans. Use PWM Fan Hub and connect one end label with PWM to PWM fan hub, then from the hub plug in direct to MOBO cpu fan header -100% work and can control the fan speed with custom curve. Yes read of all the specs amp/wattage everything but still without a hub with SATA power, the fan will not run max as shown in this video. Based on true real life experience. Thanks.

@@idhamkassim4195 Honestly speaking. If getting a hub to power up these radiator fans, it will be good. Part of the reason I do not choose Asus mid range boards is, I have no idea why most at at 1A, even on AIO_Pump. Else for the rest I've tested like ASRock or MSI, most are 2A and pump are at 3A.

I bought an ASUS ROG RYUJIN III 360 ARGB a couple of weeks ago. The motherboard for now is Asus ROG Strix Z590-I Gaming Wi-Fi. I'm happy with the hardware itself, but the Armory Crate is just terrible for me. Question: is it possible to live in happiness without Armory Crate or does it contain a driver for RYUJIN? I set up a screen for monitoring temperatures in Aida64, but can I just set the cooler in the BIOS? Or should you ideally install AI Suite 3 from ASUS for coolers? Then there is also the question of adjusting the fan lighting. Or should I look for separate software for lighting?

@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi 박현우, welcome to my channel. for both coolers, if price is not a concern. I would go for this cooler. lesser cable mess plus this Ryujin have more advantage. The small fans which blow the heat from the VRAM, RAMS and M.2 Heatsink. easy for Ryuo, those heat accumulate.. when a board accumulate heat, there will be a stoppage in performance. PC performance not only depends on how much you can cool the CPU only.. with VRAM to run cooler, it will able to draw more ampere for the CPU to perform. same applies to the DDR5 and m.2

Fans look to be on backwards? Why would they put the center logo on the side that is against the radiator?
@KleoYan11 ай бұрын
Hi Kevin Ryder, welcome to my channel. There are no difference between push or pull configuration. Just that I prefer to pull as it's easier to clean the rad. if I do push, all dust will accumulate inside the rad. As for the logo, yes it will be nicer to have it out instead of against the rad. As mentioned is my preference to mount the fans, you can choose to have your own style.
@WarBirdx9 ай бұрын
Bro since I have this AIO my case gets dirty so fast it's all full with dust. I have the Helios strix Case, so I was thinking it's because the rads position, I have it opposite like yours maybe it's that the issue? It's blowing air inside the case. I though it should blow it out no ?
@KleoYan9 ай бұрын
@@WarBirdx if you mount at the top. Your fans are pushing to the top and it’s though the radiator. Therefore dust is accumulated. Unless you place your fans above the radiator where is pull instead of push. That will help lessen the dust accumulation. But a lot wanted aesthetic. Therefore dust will be there. My main builds are mainly a 280 aio at the side where it pulls air in through the rad. This allows me to clean with ease.
@WarBirdx8 ай бұрын
i had the ryjuin 1 before the first one and never had this dust problems, but with the new one you showed in the video its crazy literally, and its so noisy i will try tho with pull option, well screw the asthetics its just stickers you never look at xD@@KleoYan
@KleoYan8 ай бұрын
@@WarBirdx I see, hmm. I never like 360 from the start. I prefer 280 or 420 liquid AIOs, pushing air through rad is always noisier as compared to pulling from the radiator. Alot will tell me that I am doing the wrong way but when I compare the thermal, both are the same temp, be it push or pull. As why pushing air through a rad is noiser, an example, with how you whistle through your lips, stay at the position and suck air in, which is giving a sharper pitch? That is where I got the idea and it's proven, when I apply on liquid AIOs. (Pull method) Next will be dust, as mentioned, pushing air through rad you are inviting dust to be accumulated on your radiator, else pulling, the dust if I see it, I can just use a vaccum cleaner to clean the rad fin stacks. Now as why 280 and 420, it's simple. you pour hot water in a bowl (represent a 360 AIO) and pour hot water to a plate (represent a 280 or 420 AIO), then blow air on both, which will cool off faster? Therefore with this practical logic and putting this into action. I get better thermal results. It's still up to individual preference. Is either you want esthetic or to compromise performance. Another fact about using 280 or 420, they are of 140mm fans and you can run at lower RPM and to have good amount of air pulling off the radiators. When comes to fans and radiator placement., I always find cases which ables me to mount a 280 Liquid AIO at the side (Intake), to have my GPU mounted Vertically, leaving no blockage for the bottom fans to push cool air up and having a clear path above for the fans at the top to exhuast hot air out. Anyway this is my current build based on Sonic the Hedge Hog www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/19f113a/sonic_the_hedge_hog/ and this was my past build, the Gun Metal build kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZK9mJKVoZZres0si=IWMt0jbsBiQwMPZH. Just make sure that it runs consistent speed and adjust accordingly till you find the correct CPU temperature you wanted. I always do that and to run pump at 80%. example the Galahad II LCD, it's max at 3600, I am running it at 2880RPM. this is my build www.reddit.com/r/MontechPC/comments/19esupr/project_montech_king95_pro_sonic_the_hedgehog/' I will be honest, if you have the opportunity to get a 280, go for 280 liqud AIO. I know is difficult to find case for 280 but the resutls are much better compared to a 360. The Sonic Build which I've shared with you, it's using a 280 Galahad II LCD and with push pull configuration. Your 14900KS is a beast to tame, you will also need to lower down the power limits.

My main concern is the best cooling performance with good noise insulation, so as not to restrict the power limit too much, which then prevents the 14900KS from developing its full potential. So, to be more specific, where is the thermal limit where the CPU reduces its performance? I would then relate this value to the corresponding cooling, which in turn sets the values for the power limit. What is the maximum power limit for the Intel 14900KS where it still develops its full potential? Setting it to auto would not make sense, because it goes up to around 4000 watts. So I would basically set a power limit, but preferably the highest value, so that the 14900KS can also draw on its power if necessary. You can then see how tolerable the volume is for a short time, which would be important if I play first-person shooters with high fps and stream and use other programs at the same time in order to minimize performance fluctuations, which then maintains a stable input lag in the game. How high is the thermal limit? What is the maximum power limit for the full potential to be used when needed? Are there AIOs that can reach this power limit without the CPU reaching the thermal limit? In the short term, the cooling can get a little louder because these are only short-term performance peaks. Is there a thermal paste that cools more efficiently than the standard paste? What additional measures could be taken to improve the cooling even further? Because the more cooling, the more peak performance when needed.

@@scienticus I will be very direct with you. I would rather get a 7800X3D compared to a 14900KS (for gaming). Reason I say this is because, by default Intel draw power more compared to AMD. With a reasonable good liquid cooler, your intel system will draw more power, but there will be an issue where you will face crashes and instablity when power goes beyond 253Watts. if you are using intel not only on games buy on production work. the follow will aid you. I suggest you follow intel specs to tune your processor www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/237504/intel-core-i9-processor-14900ks-36m-cache-up-to-6-20-ghz/specifications.html . I will set PL1 and PL2 to 253Watts which is this processor max wattage or TDP and find the correct load line calibration too, inclusive of Vcore offset. set the P Core ration to 58 and E cores to 46 Q) How high is the thermal limit? A) once it reaches 95 degrees celcius, it will start to throttle. I will aim below 90 or 90 degrees celcius Q) What is the maximum power limit for the full potential to be used when needed? A) as mentioned follow intel specs which is at max TDP 253Watts. Q) Is there a thermal paste that cools more efficiently than the standard paste? A) Use contact frame and as for paste, there are a couple good ones but I have stick to Arctic MX6 as the viscousty is good, the paste is hard to dry. Q) What additional measures could be taken to improve the cooling even further? Because the more cooling, the more peak performance when needed. A) Plan your case airflow, the cooler you can get your motherboard area, the VRM Heatsink, Rams area and m.2 near the processor, the better CPU clock frequency you can get. Reason is, this will allow your VRMs to draw current at a comfortable wattage without having high thermal.

@@KleoYan Thank you so much for your answer. I will definitaly stick with Intel 14900KS and with the power limit set to 253Watts it will be an easy solution for the heat I think. Btw, i have heard, that it is possible to make 2 profiles. One singlecore profile, where to turn of the e-cors and hyperthreading (this also increase stability too), which are not needed for gaming and applications like photoshop, videocut and so on. This helps to draw less power and cpu will not get hot. This potential i could use to increase the frequency and get also more stability in peakareas. But i have to look. how and where i can exactly turn off e-cores and hyperthreading. Second profile would be multicore and turn on e-cores, hyperthreading, which i activate, when i do developing, simulation and rendering. Here i can lower frequency to get more stability. Btw, there is a bios-update for the Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Hero (this is my mainboard) from 2024/05/30. "1. Introduce the ""Performance Preferences"" with options for Intel Default Settings (Performance/Extreme) and ASUS Advanced OC Profile. 2. Redefine the factory defaults based on Intel’s new ""Intel Default Settings"" for various CPU SKUs. 3. Change F5 from ""Load Optimized Defaults"" to ""Reset to Defaults"". 4. Add warnings when users switch from the defaults to other settings. I think, here are beneftis for using 14900KS. I have to figure out, which exactly and how to use them. For the cooler, i have decided for the Lian Li Galahad 2 LCD, which i saw your video. The point is, its a 8th gen also have the infinity fans, which i will also build in for the case. So, from design, it will be great. As you said, for cooling especially the Intel 14900KS is the area important and here is a Z790 Hero a good choice I think. But i heard, that an outtake fan with 140mm would be important and good choice. I have the Hyte Y70, cause it looks so amazing, also with the Display. Otherwise i would have buy the lian li 011 ... but the display is so sick from hyte :) So, i will go with Lian Li Galahad 2 LCD infinty 360 and additional 7 fans. 1 Fan directly close to the cpu as an outtake. 3 (tripple) 120mm reverse fan in the front for intake and 2 (double) 140mm reverse at the botton for intake. So, 2 have 2 intakes and 2 outtakes. Especially the 1 big 140mm outtake is very close to the cpu. For the thermal paste, i have seen, that the thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme gives 2 more degrees in comparison to the MX6. I think, every degree matters on the 14900KS. What do you think about this thermal paste Kleo? My last question is, do have have a video or do you know good one, where i can go through this process, you explained here? "I will set PL1 and PL2 to 253Watts which is this processor max wattage or TDP and find the correct load line calibration too, inclusive of Vcore offset. set the P Core ration to 58 and E cores to 46" Thank you so much Kleo, you are an inspiration and I learn much from you.

@@scienticus Hi, wow that's alot for me to digest hahaha.. ok here goes but is based on my own opinion. In theory it should be as what you've mentioned but honestly, I find there is a drop in performance. I got to stated that I don't play games, you can give it a try. as for the bios setting which you've mentioned. I have a bad experience when set to performance/extreme profile. I did test it and the 8eps cable from my PSU (850W Gold from Corsair) got burned. so I dare not test those settings again. I was testing on the Z790 Maximus Hero board. These are the settings I did in UEFI Under Extreme Tweaker 1) AI OVerclock Tuner to XPM I profle 2) Asus Multicore Enhancement I leave it as Auto - Lets BIOS Optimize, I know other YTubers will request to disable it but to me there is a performance drop. 3) Set Internal CPU Power Manager - PL1 and PL2 to 253watts 4) Set Actual VRM Core Voltage to Offset (Negative) -0.05V 5) P Core ratio to 58 and E Core ratio to 48 The above is based on my usage for production, not for gaming As for reference content on undervolting Intel processor. this gentlmen has a very comprehensive explanation kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6K2aGCdpMpmbrssi=boNSsAXSQpwD06MZ For liquid AIO, if going for the Galahad II LCD, I would get 280 instead of 360. 280 has a bigger surface area and doing push pull configuration is of more advantages over 360 1) it's quiet 2) Fans of 140mm x 4, need not have to run at very high RPM to cool the radiator (This is based on experience) Disavantage of using a 280 Liquid AIO. Hard to place 280 in a case and somethings looks weird.. well at least I have done mine O11D Mini - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZK9mJKVoZZres0si=7_GboMhtxyeBe7Yu (old PC build) Montech King95 Pro - www.reddit.com/r/MontechPC/comments/19esupr/project_montech_king95_pro_sonic_the_hedgehog/ (my current) btw, my GA II LCD pump runs at 2880RPM throughout as I find no difference in thermal performance between 2880RPM and 3600RPM. Plus running at 2880RPM is quiet. But if you sticking to 360, I do not have a hyte case to test with. You will need to test out the different position to your needs but in practise for fish thank style and as what you've descript to me is perfectly fine. I will go for this configuration Top - 360 liquid AIO (push pull configuration as exhuast) Side - 3 x 120m fans (Intake) Bottom - 2 x 140mm fans (intake) Rear - 1 x 140mm fan (exhuast) For thermal paste, you can go for Thermal Grizzly kryonaut extreme. hi Ben FR27, welcome to my channel. if you just want pure performance, I will recommend you the Arcitc Liquid Freezer II or the Deepcool LT720, both will not break your pocket and both are good in performance. as for the direction i've placed in this video, this is an open bench test. If you are placing it in the case, if you mount the liquid aio at the front, you should be drawing cool air in through the radiator and if you are placing at the top, you've no other options but to have then exhuast warm air through the radiator. That's how it's been for liquid AIO orientation in a case to have good temperature results.

@@emrelovatica go to your MSI UEFI interface. if I am not wrong, under HWmonitor section. check your fan header for your AIO radiator fans, make sure you have set it to PWM. you can choose to set the curve in UEFI or reboot your system. use the MSI Center, I forget which application. you will need to download that to control the fans.

I’m building my pc and I’m stuck at part. If some can help me, it will be a life saver. It’s nothing related to the video but I have a Msi mpg 1000w 80+ gold fully moduler psu. I also have a Asus rog strix 3070 ti. The problem is that the gpu has 3 8 pin ports but the psu has 2 6+2 pcie cables and 2 6+2 600w pcie cables. Since the gpu has 3 ports which cables do I plug in? Do I plug in both 600w cables and leave the 3rd one or plug in the 2 regular 6+2 pcie cable and leave the 3rd one?
@rodnietorres3082 Жыл бұрын
Correction - the other 2 cables are not 600w. On the back of the psu, it says +12VHPWR.

hi BreakaTape, welcome to my channel. Thank you for your feedback, why not feedback to Asus or at Asus reddit forum? At least they know about it and to improve on it.
@BreakaTape Жыл бұрын
@@KleoYanI will. I wish you would've mentioned that in your video. That's a major flaw. In NZXT you can control the fans in the software, with Asus you have to go to the BIOS for adjustments, extremely inconvenient.

@@BreakaTape I see, my bad as I never like to control Pump or fans via software, I prefer to use UEFI. total control.
@BreakaTape Жыл бұрын
@@KleoYan how do you have more control in UEFI than via software? I can do anything in the NZXT software. Another major flaw is the lack of hysteresis. If your cpu temp goes to f.e. 75 Celsius for 2 seconds, the fans will ramp up. With hysteresis you can set the fans to only ramp up if temp exceeds certain threshold for a set amount of time to prevent that occasional ranping.
