most underrated block on the market. Using it personally, and it is awesome for the price compare to other brands

Hi there, I'm about to do the same install and have a quick question - Do you need to remove the stock backplate? From watching the video it looks like you might be able to remove 13 screws holding the backplate, remove the brace then put the screws straight back in there? Just wondering if there is a specific reason you need to remove it if you plan to reuse it? I'm thinking if I don't have to remove it and unplug the LED it's one less thing to potentially break :-) Thanks,

Yes, You do need to remove the back plate. If I remember right there are some screws under it.

dose it matter what is inlet and outlet on the gpu block? i also got a airpocket on mine
@Moyersteven12 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does matter what inlet and outlet are. The Coolant goes through micro-channels to cool the GPU. When 1st filling up I got a huge airpocket too. Just tilt the case sideways and all around. You have to with the pump (or entire PC) ON. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions let me know.

@@Moyersteven1 What is the inlet/outlet i just did same as other builds and hope it was the right way. did a benchtest and hold 37-40c, but i still have alittle airpocket left :/

I have a 2060 super will it still fit in that water block ?

So stupid question here, can I pair this block with a Corsair pump and res? I don’t trust the waterblock that Corsair makes. I’m thinking a pump is a pump and it doesn’t matter. But I figured I’d be safe I have a lot of money in my system and don’t want to make a rookie mistake lol
@Moyersteven13 жыл бұрын
Yes, you definitely can. Ive used 2 different pumps and works great. This block is a lot nicer than the Corsair one.

@@Moyersteven1 thank you so much for the super quick reply. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable lol. My whole build is Corsair (except motherboard etc) and I was a little conflicted having to choose a different water block. But your video has me wanting the phanteks block and I’m excited to install it :) thank you again!

@@quartermoongaming Glad I could help. I've been through a few blocks. Alphacool, Corsair and Phanteks. The Phanteks is by far the best. You will see for yourself once you get it. It's amazing and keeps my card under 60C with a big overclock.
