I came into this video weeks ago trying to learn how to change and increase my ram memory. After rewatching this video multiple times and looking through the market, I found out that this customer bought the Teamgroup T-Force Zeus DDR4 32GB kit as he stated in the video. It sounded like a safe kit to buy for my upgrade too, seeing as they worked according to this video. However, after reading reviews on Amazon about them and such, I found out that sometimes they don’t operate at the frequency advertised for spec reasons. Sure enough as I watched this video it seemed that the frequency cap with the Zeus were 2677-ish (as stated @17:46). Now *I’m not super tech savvy* but the stock RAM runs at 2933 and I just wanted something just like stock but with more ram memory. I found the Kingston Fury 32GB kit, liked the reviews and decided to try my luck on those. Yeah it’s more money but, for peace of mind, I am super please with my purchase! Runs just like how I wanted it too; 2933MHz with 32GB RAM. Hope my comment helps someone!

One question, each ASUS laptop has a different model FX706L, FX706HC, but I have a model FX706HM, if I want to look for a replacement keyboard and the subject line says: Compatible with FX706L, FX706, FX706HC and my model FX706HM does not appear, will it still be compatible with those keyboards?

Just picked up the newer version of the F17 by Asus. ASUS - Gaming F17 FX706 17.3" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8 GB Memory - NVIDIA Intel GeForce RTX 3050 UHD Graphics - 512 GB I'm looking to upgrade the ram to a 32gb kit and increase the storage with a 1T drive (SSD) hopefully. Any thoughts as to which ones I should go with for a safe upgrade? I use the laptop for CAD, Inventor, and Solidworks for work/school purposes so the increased ram and storage are a must for me.

I opened this recently to dust, and discovered the metallic sticker that goes on top of the half-exposed SODIMM fell off and wont re-adhere. Am I cool to take the other one and the black papery sticker off? I'm not concerned about heat displacement on new sodimm. Thoughts?

Sir i think the CPU supports RAM at 3200MHz, it is possible to change the memory speed in BIOS if i install new memories at 3200MHz?

2021 version is factory DDR4 3200mhz, 2022 version is DDR5

Adding that HDD should be only for storage purpose otherwise if you plan on using it for gaming, you just threw money away and it's a pity for those 32 gigs of ram.

You must mean 2.5 inch sata cable. M.2 does not require a cable. You can search on Ebay. There are alot of sellers that sell such cables. Search by using your exact model, sata cable.

I don’t know what brand comes inside, but from my own research I think you’re safe to put any 3200mhz sodimm ddr4 8gb unbuffered non-ecc(if thats what yours comes with like mine)

No ESD protection. Don't work on electronics on carpet. My facility has proper ESD mats that get inspected yearly.

Hi. Actually we are protected very well. Thx. All of our main bench tops are covered with a commercial grade anti static carpet. It's expensive. And it works. I usually replace every few years just to be safe. Also, we use a product called Statcide that gets sprayed on floors and work areas daily. I've been in business 25 plus years, and have never had a single static discharge in my shops. Thx.
