I suggest not to go higher because at that point you're just wasting your money unless your attempting to use it for heavy applications like animation or streaming, otherwise 16gb is the perfect ratio and runs 95% of all triple AAA games

Last time I tried fortnite with this laptop (8GB of ram) it was running like 40fps and a little stuttery. I recommend you use GeForce experience and turn on Whisper mode if you don't like your laptop to be hot. The thing is 90c° is actually normal but the heat worries me, if you are something like me who worries about heat ,turn whisper mode on in GeForce experience.
