Asus Tuf Gaming B550M Plus (Wi-fi) vs Msi MAG B550M Mortar Wifi

The internal front USB-C connector sold me on the MSI B55M. No other mATX mobo has this feature, probably for cost saving reasons. My Lian Li o11 Mini Air has a USB-C front port, so I gotta have that.

I have an MSI Z97i motherboard. I was so tunneled visioned by the blue USB ports that I never thought to research what on earth are those red ones next to them. Apparently they're the much faster Gen2 connectors and I have been ignoring them all these years.

Seriously man I'm so confused between Asus b550 tuf gaming plus and this mortar b550m, some saying asus has more i/o ports, some saying msi has front panel usb C. Good wifi connectivity is also my main concern as I'll only use antenas given in the box . I'll use it with R5 5600G and will pair it with RTX 2060ti in future, Please recommend me what should I do man, it will be reall helpful, U can recommend any other board too or between these two, Consider over all performance in long-term. Thank you

If you get the Pro version of the TUF its 12+2 DRMOS power stages. I'm not sure why Asus just didn't stick to this design. Their whole lineup of B550 Tuf's is really confusing.

These are micro ATX. They couldn't fit the MOSFETs on the board. Compromise for smaller form factor.

Mortar is at the top of the class but aorus is not far behind.

Watch hardware unboxed. In budget segmen Mortar at the top while tuf gaming just slightly behind. Both are good.

The only problem with the msi board are the horrible antennas. They are really cheap sticks.

@Sweaty Rackz I have problems with them using BT. with the tuf I had no issues (I have the mortar and my gf has the tuf)

@Sweaty Rackz they should improve that.... We are in 2021 haha. Ps, the bios in the msi have less options, for example it doesn't have fastboot. The POST is really slow. But the msi board is really stable. NEVER a blue screen.
