@ its working really well so far, had a few blue screens but after updated the bios works great, had to contact Asus about it, they were very helpful

Definitely not a gaming laptop but it can run Final Fantasy XIV online just fine on laptop settings. It gets hot though (92-95 deg) without a cooler or at-least a laptop stand to free up the vent. Battery life is amazing. I don't look for plugs and electrical outlets anymore when I'm outside the house browsing and typing. Upgraded the M.2 to a Samsung 980 1TB and it works fine.

is there pwm when you lower the brightness of the display?

I belive there is, but since the battery lasts for so long I don't think there is a need to lower the brightness unless you really want to

@niel same results but don't really game on it so it doesn't get as hot. The slim factor also means that the airlflow is a bit hindered so your right best to get a riser or a cooler. 👍🏽

Nice review! Thinking of buying it for flutter development but still a bit unsure. Using Linux quite a lot and it have problem with the sound so i hope it get fixed soon. One question, how is the fan? Do it start easily and is it an irritating noise?

Not at all, for basic Dev work like flutter you can set the power settings to balanced and it will be quiet and the battery life is 👌🏽 Btw don't forget to subscribe! 🙏🏾

What kind of work is this for? I'd have thought the hex core Ryzen 5 would have been a better option in most cases for battery life. I don't see two cores making a blind bit of difference to 99% of everyday tasks. And for workloads that require power, I'd have thought a proper workstation with real power would be better 🤔

I travel a lot. Gone are my days lugging 16 and 17 inch laptops in my backpack. I now look to thin and light 14 or 13 inch notebooks with a power punch under its hood. So, it’s a toss on this Asus 14” and Asus Zenbook S 13” or Dell XPS 13 plus and the ultra. Which do you think shall I choose for photo editing up to 10 layers in photoshop, 5 video/audio layers in premiere or DaVinci rendered to a 15 minute mp4 or mkv format, etc.? Rarely I install games in my laptop.

had a zenbook with an i7 1260p processor, the fan was heard and when it was only on you tube, it was impossible to listen, I returned it. Does this amd cpu do that when you browse the internet or you tube, is the fan heard????
