Mosfet half bridges that protect the load are a great idea, every laptop should have them! They can also signal a fault condition back to the controller.

23:55 thank you for this information. I didn't know about that. My rule is to never ever check resistance with power supply or battery connected no matter how tired /lazy I am, so I never had this case, but anyway it is good to know.

Hello. I'm watching from Korea. I have a question for you. After connecting the laptop dc charging terminal, + terminal resistance? What do I do when I put it somewhere and check if there is any part that generates heat? I have a broken laptop now, so I changed the MOSFET recklessly, but the symptoms are not resolved and I'm frustrated, so I'm looking for a video of the teacher. Equipment includes a fan, an iron, a DC power supply, and a thermal imaging camera.

you had 1 ohm after removing drmos because of the heat after desoldering - try heating a cpu with soldering station and then measure its resistance

Some IC need to have power lines in correct order if you put power in incorrect or have rules that one voltage line cannot be higher then other you brake it and you have dead ic !!!

@@electronicsrepairschool depends on the pads. Soft, 2mm. Hard, 1.75. Both sides the same I think. Also if done perfectly right, it will hover at around 80 to 90, basically it should be about the same as the hot spot.

Its very dangerous to inject voltage in CPU with external power supply, because phases doesnt match. It can burn processor easily.
