Why?? While the android idiots are complaining, the notch offers more screen. A bezel all the way across the top is useless. The extra screen comes from the parts of the bezel that are useless. This is a needed transactions.

goochbuntu Essential Phone has a small notch at top to house camera and a full bezel at the bottom. Mi Mix has a full bezel at the bottom too. The only way to make the phone seem like bezel less all around is notch with no bottom bezel, which is what the iPhone X has done. Of course, there is the Mi Mix 2S way of side notch which seems like a pretty good, but for the extra sensors that come with the iPhone X, that wouldn't work well. Most Chinese companies are taking inspiration from the iPhone X, and not from Essential phone with the notch trend. Just a plain side by side comparison would show this. It's not a new thing to copy the look of iPhone, especially among Chinese companies either. If you've followed the trends of previous years, you would know that. iPhones are huge among Asian users and having similar designs would help boost sales, and that's all that most companies want.

Every video on this phone doesn't mention if it's water resistant or not.. And about that notch, it's functional due to the 19x9 ratio. That extra 0.1 around the notch is really just for the notification bar. They could have gone with 19x8 like Samsung but decided to give you a little extra real estate with purpose

Yup, I've watched many Zenfone 5 videos, this video stands out in content and presentation. But one request, please work on the color grading a little bit. In some scenes the Zenfone 5 display looked washed out than the surrounding.

Asus Zenfone 5 looks like pure love. I heard it will be priced under ₹ 20k to compete with Redmi Note 5 Pro. Then it would the best phone under ₹ 20k price bracket. But I can't handle heavily customized UIs. Pure Vanilla (Stock) Android fan. Maybe Nokia 7 Plus. Or, wait another year for Snapdragon 700 series with Android P : All redesigned.
