Is it chromo or stainless? Never heard of chromoly stainless.

+J Fratis It's actually neither, so Spurgeon mis-spoke. The pivot junction uses a pair of _chrome_ steel sealed bearings (not chromoly stainless). The levers are anodized aluminum. -DrewZilla

It's machined from billet aluminum, so it should be similar in strength. The main "strength" though is the fold-away feature that reduces chances of the lever breaking in an impact. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/asv-levers

Brake levers are only used as brake levers, and clutch levers are only used as clutch levers. -DrewZilla
