I have owned an ASV 30 for over 8 years now. It is an amazing machine, and I have used it for everything from loading a piano to excavating a foundation. There is no machine out there that compares to ASV. I have never tipped it or rolled it, and it has been used in situations NONE of these other machines could have even gotten into. This video is awesome, and barely touches on how much better this machine is to the next closest machine.

I really like how they tell you about how great the undercarriage is but they fail to tell you that it's extremely expensive to replace and that the rollers on that junk are rubber. We rented an ASV one time and it was an alright machine but I noticed that the undercarriage was crap. Sure it has flotation, but when the rollers at the back had huge chunks of rubber missing, that was a sure sign of failure. I'm glad I bought a Takeuchi TL250. It might ride rougher, but at least it's a beast.

Read elsewhere on YT on another review that undercarriage replacement is U.S$12-15K. Another post said back is fibreglass on the back and the hydraulic pipes are exposed underneath. For forestry mulching that's not good, and also the undercarriage scrubs out with rocks etc. I didn't waste my money on an ASV after I did my research which was mostly from guys who have run ASV and other machines to compare. I bought a Takeuchi instead and waiting for it arrive in August.
@RoyFrancisPlant11 жыл бұрын
I notice you never compare the Takeuchi TL150 / TL250 / TL12 size machine with the grouser type rubber track, we know from experience with both undercarriages that the Takeuchi with the grouser type rubber track beats the pants off the ASV when climbing.

I think ASV is the worst tracked loader on the market. It's no comparison to Bobcat or Cat. I wouldn't have one of those pieces of junk. I Grade for a living every day and that crap wouldn't stand a chance .. Your moving sand with a smooth edge bucket come on man. Really.. that's no real life comparison....
@mrpush28555 жыл бұрын
Ok wait so in what characteristics are you saying that a Bobcat is better? This thing CLEARLY is better in Mud and loose material. So are you saying bucket lifting capacity is a lot less? What does a CAT do that is so much better than one of these specifically?

The rubber wheels wear out fast and bearing fall apart even inner are a pain to replace. 1-1/2 stones will get jammed in the wheels as well when using for septic install.

@dankruger28907 жыл бұрын
if I lived in a sandy area then you have point. Stick round valley rock where we live and now you have a problem. We also use 5/8 gravel rock -3/4 crushed rock as are bases to pour on. Rather than that I think asv has a great machine that does float on mud the best and has the best ride
@johnathanpeyton3 жыл бұрын
Well look at all the other models rear ends of the engine compartment’s compared to the ASV all the engine stick further out and have more weight on the back of the tracks then the ASV seems to have

Because Cat utilized the ASV undercarriage up until a couple of years ago when they finally started manufacturing their own undercarriage systems for their skidsteers.

This is a biased video, all the other track machines were slightly slowed down just at the right time when climbing the sand hill, and when the ASV climbed, it was gassed all the way... BS Marketing video, no track loader is dominant in all areas...

JUNK!! I don't care how smooth they ride. IF you have ever worked on one, you will hate them. Try getting parts, try getting dealer support, try working on them, not just the under carriage, the entire machine. Ive been inside and out of these machines. I HATE THEM. the only good thing is they have excellent air conditioning. but they mount the AC compressor in a spot that isn't serviceable, unless you basically pull the the motor. A guy would go broke if he relied on them to get work done.

Talking about "fancy advertising" from other companies.. I was confused on what this video was advertising.. mini-track loader or car. It looked like a mini-track loaded but all it talked about was how smooth of a ride this machine is. If all your concerned about is a smooth ride, you left that in the parking lot outside the job site.With one of these machines it makes a lot more sense to put more weight in the rear because the weight of the machine will be more balanced once you pick up a load.

Pretty impressiv,must l say it truly demonstrates as claimed,pulling ahead of all other long-time brand names,but there remains just one question,how duz it really fair against the Deere's reputed 'crete-block' power-lift capability?lf the SR80 nails evn this one,it is then officially"King of the Hill".Will we out here by any chance get to see this showdown between the two?As if Tyson was goin up against some other big names;Buster Douglas/Holyfield?Looking forward to catching that happen.
