The question asked about both being green which means that they were both green. We don’t need to figure out if they were green or not bc the question tells us they are.

On the compound practice problem if the denominators are equal don't we just put one denominator since they're both equal? instead of 14x14 wouldnt just be 3x4=12/14 ?

Remember that the denominators only need to be the same when you're adding or subtracting fractions :)

Sonia, The denominators do not need to be the same when adding or subtracting so if making them the same is difficult for you, practice the method of solving the problem without making them the same so you can find out which way is best for you.
