If Alice drove R=45 mph , T=3 hours, D=R.T, D=135, Dave have to drive at the same distance to catch Alice . So D=135 , his time : T=3h- 0.5 h(30min)=2.5 h .To found his speed, R=D/T, R=135/2.5, R=54mph

The 22.5 comes from half of 45. 45 miles in an hour so 22.5 miles in half an hour

I converted to yards first, 3 feet equal 1 yard so the 18 feet becomes 6 yards, the other side is close to 5 yards so approximately 30 square yards

How come with “thirty minutes later” you just knew it was converted to 22.5, I am really stuck how you came to that reasoning for 30 minutes
@mikaylahicks72049 ай бұрын
She's going 45 mph, 30 minutes=1/2 an hour so in 1/2 an hour she'll travel only 1/2 of 45mph which is =22.5 :)
