Anything by Aswad pre 1988 is essential listening to any serious reggae fans imo

Ooit had ik deze cd gekocht, zeer trots, uitgeleend aan een meisje uit mijn klas, haar vader runde een koffieshop, volgnes mij heette ze Machteld, of zo, anyhow, nooit terug gekregen..... nog steeds mental als ik deze muziek zoek op internet, de cd is niet te vinden in zijn geheel, ja nu is er iemand die de lp met veel gepreek erop heb gezet, bravo!!!! Mocht jij je aangesproken voelt Machteld, of whatever your name was......... be happpppy with it!

Nooo I have to say this was my childhood listening to David rodigan in the night recording this on my TDk cassette, playing it till my tape got twisted talking about it all dayvin class ,scanking to in at parties, waw what a pleasure and fulljoyment it brought, maximum respect in every aspect, brilliant

Brilliant thanks for the memories back in the day. A massive apology goes out to aswad for before I awoke to the world and shouting out whilst they were on stage In the 80's at Birmingham "Get Them off" and then he took his trousers down and back up again. So sorry kindly regards your my first concert experience love and light bless you ❤️

A Lion with a hat on, an Aswad tattoo on it's left side, carrying a cross was normal in those days . A lot of Lions aspired to it circa 1981. It was eventually outlawed but made a comeback in 1983 on the Serengeti plains but was stamped out by ruthless people.Sir David Attenbrough was apoplectic in his disappointment and this is the result.

I have this vinyle, among other treasures, I haven't had a turntable for maybe 25 years, but I'm sure it doesn't crackle as much as this one 😁. Incredible nostalgia, though.

magnificent album this is, back in 1980 i bought the Lp and in 1987 i bought the cd which was Japanese import at that time and extremely expensive, but worth every penny.
