Hello, I came to USA when I was 13 years old in 2013. I applied for Asylum my case was dismissed with immigration court last year after 10 years. I’ve been waiting for an answer since then. Now my lawyer told me to applied for asylum with USCIS again. My question is? How long I have to wait this time to get an answer or interview. Been waiting for 14 years it’s stressful.

I have a pending asylum case ..August will make 3 years I’ve been waiting on my interview ..I wanted to expedite my interview in August but it doesn’t sound like my lawyer really wants to …i need some kind of advice !! And I do understand that asylum is a long wait but I just feel like my lawyers only care when it’s time to make a payment !! There is no communication other wise and they never return calls

They don’t want to expedite because you don’t have a meritful asylum case. Expediting would just make your deportation quicker. They’re using the asylum interview as an opportunity for you to hold on and wait.

@@OmarOsman98 it seems as if you know me quite well and know what my asylum case is based upon!! Every word you said is an assumption!! Truth is if applying for asylum the best thing to do is hire a lawyer that only deals with asylum cases !! I would rather take a chance than to sit down for 8 or 10 years waiting!! And my case has more than enough merit!!

you can, but I strongly recommend that you not withdraw your asylum case until you have your green card based on marriage in your hand
