While I understand your comment I do think it is problematical. That is NOT the Blessed Virgin Mary, it's a statue of our Heavenly Queen. The man clearly has an issue, at worst he's intending major disrespect but he cannot and has not hurt nor touched the Virgin Mary. Thinking to the contrary is why the dreadful Reformation happened, and why Protestants still falsely (or perhaps not so falsely for some) accuse us Catholics of idolatry. I repeat: this was a statue and the offense is therefore in that magnitude only. God bless.

That was extremely upsetting to see. I gasped in shock. It’s easy to be upset with that young man, but we should rather pray for his conversion. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ would be very upset with the disrespect shown to his mother. Yes to people immigrating. I agree the policies should be non partisan and that is unlikely to happen. The problem is the politicians make decisions about most issues using political thought processes and little actual knowledge of the issue at hand. This applies to energy, abortion, and many other issues. It is like a guy who doesn't understand personal finances making decisions on the national budget. This happens a lot with politicians.
