To be eligible for asylum in the US, you must have been persecuted or have a "well-founded fear of persecution" in your country based on one of the following 5 grounds:

hello sir I am from Sudan,I am a teacher, I've married from big officer's daughter he had refused because I am from different tribe so we have escaped together to capital and then when he knew our place he has kidnaped my wife and arrested me but I had successful escaped again from him and went to police and told them everything ,told me ok you have to apply this paper and wait we are going to arrest him,then he came with them and beat me so hard and they have taken me to unknown place and threatened me he will kill me unless divorce his daughter and left me without food and water but I escaped and I don't know nothing about my family and went to India but still I feel so scare because they can reach me here please help me and my wife!

Im still stuck in the country after torture rape terrorist attacks (chemical drugging) illegal castration and braindamage and aparthied.The country is great in a way only that hides the fact they are so continiously abusive to me...Asylum is a function of the persicution and yet they dont let you leave,the idea of winning the case or a case under those circumstances sounds absurd...
