Still after 275 hrs I consider myself to be a very conservative maybe timid pilot. Even the idea of SIV 1 year ago made me nervous. But for no travel I am now ready to do a coarse. This guy has convinced me maybe modern paragliders are not the terrifying as I thought.

Today I reach ≈12h and did my first collapses under supervision (no water). I'd be afraid to fly 200+ hours without having trained for this :o My school teaches collapses during intermediate course, if you do it immediately after the beginner week (or with no flights in between) that could be your 13th flight ≈

Your videos are really brilliant! Listening to you mediates a big passion for paragliding. You encourage people to extend their abilities under the wing and to experience borderline situations. Big "Thank you" for your clips! - Although I didn't do a SIV so far I train collapses on the ground and hereby stalling the wing 70 % on one side and try to keep it running straight forward a certain distance. Doing this I have got a basic feeling of what is happening (flapping, brake pressures etc.). Next step SIV. Hello from GER!

I've been watching your videos over and over and I really love them and I'm trying to get it polished and so that I don't make my problems worse with pilot error. They say on a launch if it'll launch it will fly. I see people who are flying with a collapse. If it will fly will it land? If you weight shift and keep straight flight and it doesn't seem to want to come out can you just ignore it and try to land anyway?

What would happen if you loose a carabiner? Would the pilot be able to maintain flight with half the wing flapping backwards if all the weight is shifted vertically in line with the inflated half wing?

it would be very hard to control and would likely go into a severe rotation, because of the asymmetry of the glider shape a wing load. throw your reserve if it starts to rotate with High G.

i hope you've heard this before, thumbs in brake pulleys have caused lethal accidents cus pilots couldnt get their hands out of the brake handles. :*

Depends on the size of the gloves / handles. If you can easily remove your hands it's not a problem.
