This is pure german /acid-trance don´t compare this with commercial hardstyle this track most appears on hardtrance compilations, and was released in 2001 in a hard / acid trance label - TRACID TRAXXX

Is HardAcid a genre at all? I always call this kind of music "DarkTrance", but I think it isn't a genre either.. must be acid trance or or hard trance or something btw I just LOVE this kind of music... good times

hardAcid IS a genre. almost every electronical genre has a harder version. like trance -> hard trance, dance -> hard dance, nrg -> hard nrg and stuff like that :)

To be honest with you all I would actually label this early hardstyle as there's no trance synths in it at all to make it hard trance!! Nowadays its the other way round and (nu-style) hardstyle generally always has trance in! This might confuse some coz so many European hard trance tunes have tons of acidlines in as we all know. This however, still utilises the same acid sound but has a hardstyle bass. There was even an album out.. Various - Hardstyle - European Hard Trance (2xCD) from Discogs.

discogs it youll see there is a differnce and listen to actual hardstyle and compare it to hard trance. there is a very big difference. besides the fact that before Cheers ASYS was both kai and frank and kai refused to release hardstyle. not to mention hardstyle was just starting out when this was coming out. besides ive opened for ASYS im really close with him thats why i know everything hes working on right now. i knew about acid headcracker 2010 back in 2008 LOL hes been working on it since

and technically this cant be labeled as just acid either acid died a long time ago Formic Acid - Eternia NOW THAT IS SOME DIRTY ACID. this is hard trance. but the track released with it was acid trance as well which was DJs Nightmare which is ven better than acid nightmare
