During Allie's childhood she went to over 30 different school and travelled back and forth to Vancouver from New Brunswick or Ontario numerous times. At 13, she hitchhiked to Vancouver where her grandmother lived, to escape the babysitter her mother insisted on leaving her with. Watch the full video to find out more about Allie's early life and what lead her to where she is now, homeless on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

I so hope that Allie receives all the love and support she needs. A safe place to live and time to heal. Despite everything she has a beautiful heart and still has such a childlike energy but also so wise. She deserves to be loved and nurtured back to health. Jeez!!! Interview next to the freeway!!! However, #her difficulties were not be unlike many American people!!! Stand up to be counted@!!! Many had to reinvent themselves in order to survive!!!

I love her name Allie and just liked her story of what she did I hope Allie gets help from folks that can put her on her road to being safe and a home to call her own She has the gift to help others if she has the chance too Cheers to Allie

What people don't understand is that addiction is almost always connected to past trauma. When you have unresolved issues and no support it just eats you up inside and and the alcohol and drugs completely rewires your brain.

She is one very impressive woman!! I hope she finds the strength in herself to get stable and free of any addictions! She is someone who needs a long hug and be told, things are alright now. She is beautiful in her purple lipstick! Don't give up please!! You have so much to offer!! 😊❤

Allie is articulate and thoughtful. WTF is our country doing? This has utterly enraged me. My God. May all the blessings be yours, Allie. You have my respect as you have tried. You simply need housing, food and decent medical treatment to heal your trauma. I am so sorry our country has failed you so badly.

You're from my city, Fredericton. May I ask how old you are? Allie was my mum's nickname to her closest friend and my Dad. I'm watching your videos in the wrong order...lol You had a really rough and traumatic childhood/youth. I'm sorry for your suffering. You've been through hell and a handbasket. You are a really smart woman. I'm so sorry that you are homeless. My nephew through my ex is living on the streets where you are, and has serious addiction problems. His name is Tommy Stafford if you ever meet him, he's about 35-36. I hope and pray that you get help with dealing with your past trauma, so then you will be able to get sober, as all addictions are trauma based. I studied that in college last couple of years. Do you ever get to see your kids? I hope and pray that you will find sobriety , happiness and inner peace, plus many blessings. Sending prayers, love and hugs to you. 😘🙏🫂☮️❤️

She seemed to have studied a lot of educational subjects, but not the one that might help her!!! Pasadena City College had a Psychology class that aided many, which talked about human behavior. Just commenting.

She has some serious mental issues. Moving around, from place to place, not having steady employment, associating with other desperate people, not knowing how to get in touch with Governmrnt agencies , in,order to change the course of her life

This is what time does to most everybody thato looks into the morning n=mirroe!!! Some struggle to cope with what time has done to then, but get up regardless!!! Get up!!! Keep going on!!!
