At 81, Paul McCartney FINALLY Opens Up About His Feud With Michael Jackson Over The Beatles Catalog
If you don't know the Beatles, chances are you're probably living underneath a rock. Arguably the greatest rock band of all time, the Beatles have blessed the rest of the world with some of the most iconic and timeless songs since their debut back in 1960.
The Beatles’ status as everyone’s favorite band was threatened after Paul McCartney met and collaborated with Michael Jackson in the early 1980s. Armed with advice from Paul himself, Michael purchased the Beatles’ catalog, leaving a bitter taste in his former friend's mouth. With Michael dead and Paul now 81, the latter is finally coming out to address his feud with Michael, so stick around as we get right into it.

Paul had several opportunities to acquire the rights to his music catalogue but declined. So, I don’t see how he could reasonably hold a grudge against Michael Jackson for making the acquisition afterwards.

So Macca coaches MJ on buying as much publishing rights as possible. And then MJ buys his songs rights. Seems like Macca should have been made at himself. At least Macca didn't coach MJ in baby sitting.

Michael was a cold and savage businessman. Paul should have fought for his own catalogue. He didn't. Only has himself to blame.

Michael checked with mcartney and yoko ono if they were going in for the catalogue and they said no he then battled to win the catalogue which took couple years and finally he got it Paul made a bad choice not going for it and should have respected the way Michael treated the tracks once he owned them
@marcusbrothers5221
@marcusbrothers5221 Ай бұрын
Micheal bought the catalog just before the world rebuilt thier record collections with expensive compact disc reissues. It's that forethought that made Micheal purchase the music . That lack of insight is why Sir Paul was dragging his feet on the purchase of the catalog. He had already lost a fortune when he did have partial ownership the first time.

Songs are a commodity that is owned and sold just like a painting by an artist for example. Macca could have bought the song catalog but instead he snoozed on it and Jackson legitimately bought the Beatles catalog. Macca has no right to be pissed at Jackson. He needs to grow up and realize its business.

I have come to the conclusion that giving good advice to close friends, they'll later use against you often the reasons are greed jealousy and revenge (for what it could be anyone's guess)... This is common behavior with childhood friends, but Michael was 25, but it shows how little he matured as an adult.

I’ve enjoyed many moments to the Beatles and I’m grateful but when it comes to money and resources I don’t really feel bad for any of the Beatles. If sucks John Lennon was killed meaninglessly or just sucks period but these are just human beings like the rest of us and they’re not the the supermen many of us have seen them as being. They had an easier life Compared to all of us working stiffs who get up each day and go to work jobs we don’t have much passion for. So they’re lucky in that sense.

The Beatles were terrible musicians. All the British rockers, with practicing black blues Artist Music and technique. Jimmy hendrix was the beatles death nail. Little Richard and Quincy Jones both Tell of the payola for the beatles Greatness. Paying radio stations to play this songs. The Beatles was a marketing plan that brought british rockers to America. Till this day it's the most plain straight corny music, We could see why they did not last long as A group.
