At 84, Ringo Starr finally confirms how Yoko Ono destroyed The Beatles
In a dramatic revelation that has sent shockwaves through the music world, Ringo Starr, the heartbeat of The Beatles, finally breaks his silence on how Yoko Ono's presence drove the legendary band to its breaking point. Yoko Ono's avant-garde ideas clashed with The Beatles' traditional approach, causing heated arguments and deep resentment. Ringo's heartfelt confession paints a poignant picture of a band torn apart by personal and creative differences, forever altering the course of music history.

Ringo and Paul, are oth alive and are now good friends. He is not going ruin this. This video did not tell you the real reason he quit during the white album sessions. Paul always saw himself as the musical director of The Beatles. He drove everyone crazy doing countless retakes of OH Bla DE, he was trying to tell Ringo how to play drums. Ringo threw down the sticks and said "Then you play it:" and he walked out. In the Let It Be movie we see Paul and George arguing, George says "look I will play it any way you want, I don't have to at all if you like." Yoko did not break up the Beatles.

We saw this as it occured. It was no mystery, it was obvious. She made no attempt whatsoever to help soften what was occuring that didn't have much to do with her, but instead like every oppurtunist, she capitalized on it, amplified it, and encouraged John to move further away from the group. She wanted her lime light in the music world, and her screaching and howling, and ridiculousness on he early solo releases demonstrated that. But John was deeply in love with her and anyone who has ever been that deeply in love with someone (and that someone being the wrong person) you know just how much you will do for them. Some even reduce themselves to a pale shadow of who they once were. And this woman... she even drove that wedge between John and his first child, of which Paul alluded to in Hey Jude. Why so many younger people from today seem to not just give her a pass, but seem to consider her something at all just because she is Yoko Ono is crazy. But it just shows you how generations after a situation, things become normalized and accepted via the media, time, and distance. I guess you had to be there... you have to be very old like myself, and speak up about it. She was not a nice person for John, Julian, or even the Beatles.

There was much more to their breakup than anything to do with Yoko. These were strong men in their 20s who became rich and wildly famous. The pressures were enormous and all groups break up eventually. There were also a lot of musical differences developing. A breakup was inevitable and actually a good thing. For me anyway, I'm glad when things end before they turn rotten. And their last works were generally fantastic. When you talk opportunism it would be wise to study or recall that Paul had bought up secret shares of the songwriting partnership which was only exposed later by Allen Klein. Many strange incidents occurred which those who have studied the group history deeply understand. In the end Beatles were humans not saints, and the idea that Yoko was a devil should be discredited for the prejudice it is and was way back in 1968.

I've been a Beatle fan since they hit American shores! I was only 10 years old when they first came to America in 1964! My brother in law bought me my first two Beatle records. And after seeing them on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time I was hooked! Paul was my favorite, but I liked the others as well. But when Yoko came into the picture in 1968, everything changed, and not for the better! Tension, discord and misstrust dominated the recording studio, and their daily lives. Yoko had no business even BEING in the studio while they were working!!!!! None of the other Beatles girlfriends were allowed, so why was she??? John's own wife was not allowed to be in the recording sessions, and at the time, she was married to John!!! What made Yoko so special. She had nothing to contribute!!!! She couldn't sing! And when she tried, it was like a screaming banshee!!! She had absolutely NO musical talent!!!! And further more, she should have kept her opinions and suggestionions to herself and kept her mouth shut!!!! The boys knew what they were doing, and needed no comments from the peanut gallery, so to speak. They were seasoned musicians!!!! Yeah, i do believe that was one of the main causes of their breakup. Her constant interference!!!! Perhaps if John had never met her, the Beatles would have continued on as a group well into the 80's! Take Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones for example. They are still making music to this day!!!! I do believe there was another factor in the Beatles breakup. And that was the death of Brian Epstein, their manager. He was the one who brought them to stardom and made them a global phenomenon! They were lost without Brian. For awhile, they tried to manage themselves, but it wasn't working. Then the clash over Klein, and Eastman and again, Yokos constant badgering was the final nail in the coffin. Yes, i do believe 100% she was the biggest cause of their breakup!!😢

The problem with Yoko Ono was that she thought that she was talented. She had a huge Problem because of this. It all was a very destructive force and decisive. She felt that all her ideas were so good and this interfered with the creative process that was the fundamental strength of the Beetles. It was so unfortunate and lead directly to the break up of this great group. It was so sad that she never realized what a destructive force she was. She had such an egotistical side. One made a big mistake by allowing her to hand around during the challenging period of creativity. Rest in peace John!

John and George were simply not too keen on continuing to be 'fab'. They enjoyed the ride but were ready to do their own thing, respectively. Paul and Ringo may have wanted it to continue. But even Ringo split for a while during the White Album sessions. It was just time. Perhaps Yoko helped along what was inevitable anyway. There were many musical differences between all the members, and financial pressures, and simply grown men growing apart that added to this. John didn't end it himself. And it's easy for all these people to judge what a wildly popular group of 20-something men did 50 years ago. Groups end. It's a fact of life. And they gave everything to the music. I don't see why people are obsessed with this. I think it's because they always want more. It's never enough. Is that really loving the Beatles? I'm not so sure. Just thoughts. John was also depressed in some ways by the breakup afterwards which does come out in his interviews at the time.

Ringo as a solo artist after they broke up had many great hits such as It Don't Come Easy, Back off Boogaloo, Photograph, You're Sixteen, OH My My, No No Song. Saw Ringo in concert and he sounded and looked great! Ringo I like because he was known as the funny one, what's better than laughter? Although Yoko was the reason for the breakup of the Beatles, they had a great run and will forever live on as music legends. I liked John's outspoken personality and passion for what he believed in such as no wars. His untimely murder was heartbreaking at a time in his life when he was happy and at peace. The Double Fantasy album is great full of beaitiful songs..minus Yokos screeching minor part in a song. also Happy Xmas (War is Over), Jealous Guy, Mind Games and Imagine. All had great solo careers. I loved Paul McCartney and Wings Venus and Mars entire album great. More greatbhits were Too Many people, Another Day, Jet, Live and Let Due, Band on the Run, Uncle Albert, Maybe I'm Amazed, Say Say Say. George the quiet one had some great songs Give Me Love, Got my Mind Set on You , Here Comes the Sun, Something, While my Guitar gently Weeps, and my favorite My Sweet Lord.

I didn't know that Ringo Starr's father's first name was the same as mine. it goes to show you learn something every day. some of Ringo Starr's unique drum playing comes from the fact. that he's left handed and plays the drums right handed. Ringo Starr has always had a great sense of humor. and he can always make me laugh. I always really liked his very close friendship with George Harrison. and in an interview he was brought to tears talking visiting George in the hospital, when he was dying. it was heart wrenching to watch but it was great to know of their great friendship. my favorite Ringo Starr song is "Photograph". it's great to know that he's in good health and still very much involved with his one great passion music. his all Star band has been at it a long time giving us great music. keep doing what your doing thank you so much Sir Richard Starkey.

I don't agree that Yoko destroyed the beatles. After Brian died, Paul took over the band. The Beatles was John's band and when Paul took over the leader position, John lost interest. John was the first Beatle to formally Quit. George was disgusted with Paul complaining about his playing. He walked out and didn't come back to the Studio for almost 2 weeks. Every one but Paul wanted to get Kline to manage the band. But Paul was told to stay away from Kline by Mick Jagger. And Kline wanted 25 percent of the Beatles. Paul said NO then Quit. They Just didn't get along.

I blame Lennon. Bringing your girlfriend into a recording studio [the only Beatle to do this], it’s not acceptable. It breaks the creative bond between the band. I’m pretty sure he realised, by that time, he was no match for McCartney’s growing talent and maturity and Yoko was a shield to hide behind.
@MonicaWoods-lh7ty
@MonicaWoods-lh7ty Ай бұрын
That is wild conjecture. The band was splitting along many lines. And no match? That's outrageous. Lennon's late work with the Beatles is some of their best. Come Together, I Want You, Don't Let Me Down, Strawberry Fields Forever, All You Need Is Love, I Am The Walrus, Across The Universe, I Dig A Pony, Julia. All the songwriters in that group were amazing. Yet John was more consistent than Paul as well. He wrote almost no filler.

I don't really have a favorite moment about Ringo Starr, however here are the following characteristics that I admire about him: Being able to overcome poverty, not to mention a father who abandoned both him and his mother at an early age, dealing with illnesses and therefore spending time in and out of hospitals frequently, overcoming alcoholism, developing a drumming style of his own while being in The Beatles and having a solo career, and finally, being a philanthropist and being humble or down-to-earth. Feelings which can worry at one - heavy emotional weights must fall away at some time to ensure a smoother life/emotional journey. wish him all the best, as always...it still takes courage to admit ones own hurt wherever it comes from.

Now THAT's really a real revelation. Never would have guessed an avant garde Yoko destroyed singlehandedly the Fab 4.... Well, frankly, this might have been a part of the truth, but all good things sooner or later have to come to an end. Not sure if the Beatles would have kept been relevant in the Disco or Punk-soaked 1970's, would have been able to compete with Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis or Supertramp, would not have become a caricature of themselves. And the break up resulted in some fine and some less fine solo albums.
